lowryder 2 under 540watts t5 hydro

decided to post some hempstar photos. the nugs are filling out nicely and some of the seperate buds on each node are growing together to form nice colas. can't wait for 2 weeks or so to go by. They got trimmed fairly heavily for light. i moved them into the grow tent without the cover on. for dark period i bought a 9 dollar bbq cover made out of thick black vinal. it fits perfect and is easy.

sweet man. theres not much going on right now but i update often and they should have some buds in about 2 weeks. next im doing 2 levels and may putt my t5hos up against the same wattage of hps. The difference with what my test would do is that i would subtract all watts used to cool the hps off the light watts. hey its only fair. my t5s need no cooling. all power is used for lights. i know my 450 watt of hps needs at least 80 watts of fans. It will be 400 total watts vs 400 total watts of hps and cooling. not sure if i'm going to do it yet.

Keep me posted on some pics im about to use 10 t5 . But i love the soil. How many you think u can do under it?

I'm not sure how many. you can see the spacing on mine. and theres room for 4 more with my spacing. I would say 10 t5hos 4 feet long would be good for 14 plants. with lowryder you don't have control over size. The more light the bigger. i'm not talking about stretch though. I'm expecting mine to be pretty bushy and to really fill in the area i'm using now that i've seen them this far. Soil is fun but i have cream carpet and can't be cleaning. Also i looked at many LR2 pics and the hydro goes quick as hell. Mine seem to have started to slow down and seem to want to flower. post some pics guys

Decided to take a closer look just now. preflowers must be forming because the nodes look diff on roughly half the plants from the other. Not sure which ones are male or female but assume that the bigger ones are male. they're staying in anyways for the first grow. When i look from the top they are huge but from the side they are onl 5 inch max still. these are crazy plants.

All very nice pics......i checked our records today and it apears we are week 6 and 3 days, and flushing. Any worries if we shut the nutes off a bit early? Things continue to fill out nicely, no tricomes clouding yet.... just getting fatter, and more plentiful....

I would have to say don't worry about the nutes. You don't want to taste bad weed. its not that bad if you lose a couple grams from flushing early to have quality taste. post some pics if you can. I want a couple weeks to go by. Hopefully thursday and at worst the thursday after i will have 4 more bulbs in there. Can't wait. but need money. I think after this batch i'll try and grow some money.

damn. 1 more thing. i was noticing 1 of my large hemstar plants growth slowing. the little bit of weight from the buds alreay snapped the main branch half off. i tied it together tight and added some root hormone in there. don't know if that helps but it has mold reducers in it. that bud should have been 14 grams right there and is now behind the others. its still alive and growing but def didn't help. i'm pissed.

ya kinda risky....... dunno what the rules are there.... but i think here in Canada after 3 plants you can catch serious shit. I am thinking 3 trees next time..... probably better yield than the lowryders. Anything after 3 plants you may as well grow 99.

im looking to do a lowrider grow in another month.. and i heard they only grow for 2 months before i can harvest them.. if so then im growing lowrider

ew clear plastic res? get rid of that if u get light in there u get algie and root and stem rot!! WTF!!

what type of grow medium do you have? yah dude you should wrap some plastic and duck tape around the clear res or u can have some probs

the res is clear for demonstration purposes. Also does my res look dirty? I am a clean freak. Also don't be to quick to judge. The wardrobe has been slightly customised to fit the tub exactly in there. No light hits the sides. I clean the res once a week regardless. The setup is clean. don't worry. The medium is 4 by 4 by3 rockwool. I only use rockwool because its cheap and very light and disposable. also clean.

Green earth in another month mine will def give you an idea. they're being grown as perfect as i can.

so you have had these on 18/6 light cycle since they were germinated... also what nutes are you using?

I have them on 24 right now and when they show sex i'll go 18 6. They are on Dutch Nutrient Formula veg and veg fortifier. as soon as first buds same but bloom with fort. i over nuted them just slightly at first but they look overall healthy. in hydro they grow so fast.
