Lowryder 2 hydroponic 600 watt grow

Are these autoflowerers ok with 24/7 lights I thought 20/4 was the most you could give them? Also co2 needs all other parameters (light/heat/nutes) to be optimised to give the best results, and fans off during gassing and for a while afterwards. Watch out for temp rises during this. A foilar feed with carbonated spring water can add a little co2 to the plants.

Am watching this, good luck with the grow : )

I went with 18/6 on the generation before this and think I'm gonna try a 24 light cycle this time; I've only heard good things so far, but if they don't grow as fast as I think they should be I might switch it down.

It's day #15, here's new photos. I've been lazy and got delayed a day on installing all my new equipment. But here it is:

I'm guessing I've got about 70 days left in this grow and about 150cf in my co2 tank, so I'm releasing 2cf per day @.2cf/hr for 10hours a day. I made the co2 release for every other hour except during the dead of night when I have it off for about 5 hours because its the coldest. When it starts on again around 6 or 7am the co2 is released for 2 hours straight.

The reason I'm releasing the co2 at a low pace for longer periods of time is because I do not have a timer for my ~100cfm exhaust fan. I'm afraid that if I put the timer on the AC wire from the converter the heat in the tent will get too high because the light fan will also be off. Also, the air around the tent will start to stink(eventually) because there won't be any negative air pressure sucking the warm&smelly air through the carbon filter. I think I will have to be continuously exhausting the air the whole time they are growing. Maybe I'll get a dimmer for the exhaust fan and just turn down the wattage on it... any suggestions?

The space heater makes it so that the lowest temperature is 75*f/24*C.
I've also changed the the reservoir and cleaned out the system.
I've switched the floods to occur twice a day instead of three times a day.
It looks like I've got 16 plants in total now. They are all starting their third set of leaves. The seedlings still have slight curling of the leaves and on 3 of them there are some brown spots/patches on the interior of the leaf. I'll do some research soon to see what could be making these brown spots.
again, any suggestions?

Also, I have slightly increased the nutrients I'm adding. They are:
40ml G.H. Grow, 30ml G.H. Micro & Bloom; 30ml Liquid Karma; 30ml SuperThrive. 250ml of 3% h2o2.

If you see anything I can do better or have any comments feel free to post in my journal.

You got it. A dimmer or regulator switch will do this job. CO2 is a significant investment to be exhausting all the time but you have no choice in your current setup.

Still too wet. No way those little sprouts are using 2 cycles worth of water that is stored in those big cubes. If you pick up your RW and it drips or pourw water it is TOO WET:idea::idea::dunce:

Good luck man.

that co2 kit must have cost you abit?

thats a handy heater you got aswell.

your browning of leaves could be caused by nutrients, thats alot of nutes to be giving such small plants?

either way there looking good, hopefully see some good growth soon .

Thanks doog, When I get back later tonight I'll switch the watering to once a day. After the start up costs $17 every other month is feasible even tho i'm wasting a good amount of it. I'll try and get those kinks with the exhaust worked out at least by next time.

Fyfe, the setup was about $320 with a full tank. Quite the input cost, but from what i hear it should save me from having to buy more kind elsewhere that is worth at least that much. Even a 10% yield increase saves me money on smoke in the long run.

Thanks you guys

Day 21 update: -cleaned system and sealed the Hydrohut.

With the sealed system I reduced the co2 output to .2 cubic feet every 3 hours. 15 minutes out of every 45 minutes the co2 regulator turns on at a rate of .2cf/hr. This should keep levels of co2 between 1500-1800ppm.

New nutrient level of 1-1-1 general hydroponics grow/boom/micro. Up until now they've had 1/4 strength nutrients, excet ast week when I went 1/2 strength with g.h. grow. What I added includes: 80ml grow/bloom/micro/liquid karma, 300ml 3% h2o2, 20ml pH down, & 40ml of Superthrive. After 1 hour of pump mixing the pH read 5.5, and the ppm 840.

16 plants remain. at least 3 males , and one confirmed female.

Here's a few photos:

An Overview:

This one has male pre-flowers:

O.K. in-line cooling job. I need to pick up two flanges so it fits better.

peace and luv

ps=~ Does anyone know how to change the title of a thread?

Looking good cogo, I'm keen to see how this setup works out.

Can you not edit your initial post to alter the thread title?

Early Morning on Day#24

Here's a male plant:

Here's a female plant:

And an overview of the flood table:

They seem to be liking the new nutrients and the co2!
Unfortunately, I've identified at least 6 male plants and only two female plants so far. 8 are still undetermined.

& can anyone tell me how to reduce the image size?! I feel that I'm taking up a lot of space here

looking good mate,

when you post, just hit manage attachment's button and browse from your documents or usb or whatever and upload there. i puts them in thumbnails that you can click to make larger :)

I'm hooked, I can't wait to see this lowryder grow out. Also, I am growing in a kind of similar setup and my temps drop down to about 62-63F at the coldest, I was wondering if you could copy and paste the link for that space heater.

You might just have to heat your house up a bit more at night to keep the temps up. im growing some autos also and i noticed it had the nitrogen deficiency problem like yours did real quick. these things need nutes almost from sprout it seems.
