Hey buddy your awesome and amazing...

I'm pretty sure I have a hermie out of my 3 LR2s...the other is def a male and the other doesnt have any single signs of sex not even a bump for a preflower...theyre all 22 days old....anyways...

My question is about the hermie...
If the hermie pollinates itself will the resulting seeds all be hermies?

and if a straight male pollinates the hermie will the resulting seeds be like 50% hermie 25% female 25 % male?

Thanks Bud
Peace

if you got a hermie without doing anything i am very surprised.... it's gotta be like 1 in 500 at best.... if it is the seeds from it will pretty much be useless from what i understand.... all herms. i'm not %100 sure though cuz all i can do is quote what i've read or been told. i have never kept a herm long enough to find out..... i collect pollen then make hash, never let any finish. the whole prosses dosen't make alot of sence.... pollinating another female gives fems, but the plant self pollinating gives herms.... i guess it makes a little sence.... all i know is it works.

Trying out some LR2. I want to watch your progress as outdoors is the goal. When you crossed your LR2 with the other strains, do you go through the whole process...or just cross once? Did you wind up with autoflowering crosses or just short crosses?

well i'm not 100% it's a herm, maybe like 75%....but it seems like youve grown a lot of LR2 and you have never seen a LR2 hermie?

Are you saying if a hermie pollinates a female the seeds on the female will be feminized?

Thanks

i went through the whole thing, i had help.
takes about 5 grows to get to %100

male lr2 pollen used on female strain.... take first to flower and again use lr2 pollen, then inbreeding first to flower till %100 auto.

You get a hermi if you stress the plant. Mess up its light cycle or create an unstable enviroment to do this. And if a hermin pollinates itself the seeds will be feminized, you dont need another female.

All herms do not produce herm seeds. I seen with my own eyes, 7 white widow hermie seeds grow. They were all fems and 4 of the 7 were Purple Phenos. Not all hermie seeds will turn out to be hermies. The plants are looking great by the way DOC! Good luck on the rest of you'r grow brotha!

lr2 is an autoflower and by the time it goes herm there will not be enough time for the plant to self pollinate and produce good seeds. this is why a second female is usualy used.

but thanks for the info on it, i have never let a herm seed so i really had no idea, i have always just collected the pollen and made hash... i followed soma's advise and it worked for me, maybe i should see if the lr2 will have enough time, you'd think it would seems how the main goal of the plant is to reproduce, i am just worried cuz they die off around week 12 inside.

let me see if i have this right...so you cross a fem with a herm pollen, then you use the f1 and cross with more herms? and as you get down into the f4's f5's you will be getting close to feminized

You dont need to do all that! All a feminized seed is is a hermi that has seeded (almost). Either use the pollen to seed another female or, just let the hermi seed its self and you will have feminized seeds (90% female, 10% hermi)

would changing the light cycle every day or every couple of days be good as far as making a hermi? maybe cut off a few lower branches also?

um........ thanks for reading the forum....... except the fact that you forgot to read it. i am not using any ferts, using straight tap water. THEY DO NOT NEED FOOD. they are actualy bigger than my last two grows (where ferts were used) at day 18, and all showed sex by day 17..... this is not a grow for a bunch of big buds, it's a grow to show that anyone can grow lr2 for the cost of seeds, dirt, water, and electricity.
