Lowryder #1 Outdoors in the Emerald Isle

Céad míle fáilte!

Started looking into growing grass as the bags in this country are so terribly seedy and expensive, I'll spare you the details so you don't weep for us!

So I've just bought 5 fem Lowryders and I'm looking to germinate them this weekend coming.

The spot I have looks to be good, nice and open but enough growth to conceal a small plant. I plan on going there soon to start digging a small trench for my Lowryders to live in.

Can anyone give me advice on what soil mixture to use? I have a bag of good enough quality compost here but is that adequate? What could I add to it?

Also I have a greenhouse, so should I possibly grow the germinated seeds in here for a while to get them nice and sturdy? If so how long should I leave them here for?

Bearing in mind I reside in Ireland, if you haven't guessed already, so would next weekend (april 15th) be too early to plant the germinated seeds?

Thanks for reading, as you can see I'm a 'noob' and I've researched various forums but information is varied and nothing really on ireland.

So any advice welcome please as although inexperienced, I am very enthusiastic and want some Emerald buds!

Go raibh math agat!

Well you got some questions, Ill try to answer some of them, but read around these forums, its filled with tons of very useful information. For soil mixture I suggest something high in nitrogen, I like to use 25 percent cow manure, 25 percent peat moss, and 50 percent original soil in each hole. A greenhouse can be good for growing seedlings as long as your able to watch the temperatures, woodnt want them frying. IM a long ways away from ireland, but a good way of knowing when to plant marijuana is after the lost frost of the year, theirs charts all over the internet with that. And one tip of advice, if you have rabbits over there, is invest in a roll of chicken wire fencing, and wrap that around your fence, rabbits and all small animals love eating marijuana for some reason. hope that helps, happy toking

Thanks for replying stonerman,

Ok, I'm going to start germinating sometime this week.
