  • I use 125w cfl for seedlings, I keep within about 4-6inches to reduce stretching, depending on the amount of seeds I sometimes add more cfls, but right now Im planning on upgrading to some t5 panels that are sweet. If I were you I would get whatever you can afford, you can go to walmart and get a flourescent setup, make sure to get the grow/plant bulbs, not sure the exact price but not too much. I got the 125w cfl bulb w/reflector for about $60.00 and works pretty good, but I only use it for couple weeks before they go under metal halide to get them bushier, even the ones that are going outside this year are now under a MH lamp, but Im trying to get them as big as possible before they go outside in late april. Main thing is with seedlings is just make sure they dont stretch too much, which means you want the lights close and providing enough for them to use and grow. Hit me up if you have any questions, I'll try to help you out if you need it. Peace
I live about 1hr north of Sacramento, about 2hrs from mendoncino, humbolt and trinity county area, the "green triangle" lol, some guys up there are on a different level. I may be moving over there next winter, havent decided yet, want to but it rains alot over there so that kinda bums me out.
Got the blackberry kush from a club up here in nor cal and Im also gonna be getting a few clones in a couple of weeks. Wish I had a camera because this is some of the frostiest purple herb Ive ever seen and thats saying a little bit.
Those are some wicked strains, your gonna be quite happy with the end results. Ive ran the purplewreck before and it was great, tried some different berry kushes, right now got some blackberry kush thats absolute fire. Just do your research, learn as much as you can about growing, Im constantly learning new ways of doing things. Like I said before with most strains its possible to get way more than the banks tell you when growing outdoors. For example I had some bubba kush that according to breeders would yield about a pound, well my smallest plant was right a 2lbs, while the biggest was near 4lbs, so its all relative to how much care you take. Those are some great strains though, your gonna be quite happy. Peace
Depending on how many females you actually end up with, a pound per female plant shouldnt be too hard to achieve if given reasonable good conditions to grow. I know we all get caught up in what our total yield is going to be and rightfully so, but our main goal should just be to grow the given strain as good as we possibly can and the yield will take care of itself. Personally I would chop all the males when they show, I usually dont want seeds or if I do just a few for later, but thats what clones are for. Wish you the best, peace
I like to dig big holes, usually about 3-4 deep, 3x3 area, Ive even gone so far as 6ft hole, but most people arent willing to put that kind of work in. Honestly I would try to get close to 3ft deep, 2x2 area is fine, that soil mix suggestion is spot on if you want to provide the best for your girls. If taken care of you shouldnt have any problem getting a lb a plant, wouldnt be surprised if you get alot more. Ive had plants over the 4lb mark and they were only 7ft tall, just a huge bush of colas, this year is gonna be even bigger, Ive already got half my hole dug.
did you read this grow guide yet? Its pretty good.

I used to grow inside myself but i have been researching this for quite some time now. this is what i will use...

    **SOIL MIX**
    -2 part organic potting soil.
    -1 part Perlite.
    -1 part Vermuclite.
    -1 part worm castings.
    -2tsp of Guano(n-veg & P-bud)
    -bone meal(flowering) & blood meal(veg)
    -small amount of Dolomite lime

This is organic, I do it cause its for personal smoke and chemicals tast like crap. Its so easy to make organic fertilizer too. like chicken shit in a bucket of non-chlorinated water, stirred a couple times a day for a couple days or so and you got some nice organic fertilizing tea.

I plan on 2x2x2 holes and hear that i can easly get a pound a plant from a 6 footer, which you will easily get with that much root.
the bigger the hole, the bigger the plant and yield...but the bigger... the more cost for soil and more work. 2x2x2 would be good. 8 cubic feet of soil per hole. Do you have much growing experience?
Thannks dude bc I either had to think sumthing up or plant in huge pots...I ordered and recieved 6 purple wreck 6 kush berry 6 and 6 lemon skunk from growhigh.com from DNA genetics and reserve privada which have good seeds and I'm planning on yielding atleast a half pound from each plant do you think this can be achieved and how tall would try have to get??? I've only grown one time last yearwith seeds from different kinds of kush I had cuz I use to sell half ps and full pounds I grew 6 and 4 were females I got about a qp from all four becuz they where in small pots about a gallon or two big but this year I'm confident I can get atleast 10 pounds if I do shit rite what kind of advice can u give me as far as hieght and yield goes I got all my ph nutrient and all the other stuff concerning growing down pretty good I'm trynna grow plants as big as possible so I can make money and smoke all year round and all my seeds are female sojust lemme kno wat u think thanks man
If you dont want your plant's roots touching the foreign, surrounding clay, you could put a garbage bag in the hole with a hole in the bottom and 2 inch layer of gravel for drainage. This way its just like growing in a pot.
