what are the "bots" for? to make sure people aren't doing illegal stuff? i bet the U.S. government has bots and if you say words like terrorist, al qaeda, taliban, etc... they pick up on it. oh shit...know they are coming here. hehe.

exactly.....however when they say illegal, they mean against site rules.
But I think the crack down probably comes from recent events with some members.
The bots are for checking your PM's.

the bots scan and pick up keywords. if a keyword is in your pm, the bot will pick it up. but no one is looking at pm's for their own pleasure.

Our spam filter is the bot you're talking about. Since we're the largest marijuana site on the net, we are bombarded by spammers. The spam filter keeps 99% of it from being seen by our members. I ban about 100 spammers every day! Their posts are marked, and are not seen. Sometimes they leave Visitor Messages, or Private Messages, so those are scanned, too.

i vote that we add some "keywords" to the bot scanners like lubricant, donkeypunch, sharted, and creampie...hehe

what do you do if you get spam and you want to report it? i get profile posts from 2 different guys trying to send me to another website all the time. i deleted them.
