long drying

Hi anyone, funny question but maybe someone can help here.
I work on a farm for six month of the year, May to November. So for the summer I grow like mad, only problem is as my hard labour is ripe I cut it down, hang it in my dark closet and leave the farm for most of five months. So my question is, will good bud hanging for five odd months still be smokable with no curing etc...
Thanks for that.

I've never heard of anyone doing this. I imagine it would still be smokable. I bet it would make for some good joint weed. Is the closet sealed and whats the temp like in there?

No it's not air tight but no light gets in. Pretty cool in there, it's winter so id say about 20 degrees C max, most of the time much cooler.

as long as they dont freeze you should be alright. if they do freeze before they are completely dry they will mold.

Best bet is to get it dry in a week, with a lot of circulation.

Then jar it up.

Air, light and heat mess it up, most likely your weed will taste like your closet and loose a lot of potency.

One week drying and then jarring, it’s going to get moldy, I’m talking about quite an amount of marijuana here. I know it’s going to be a harsh smoke but what about a food dehydrator until dry and then jarring?

A food dehydrator, is that my way to go? I have hung in my closet before and very good weed became shit after the six months. Does anyone know about a dehydrator? Besides the harsh smoke will this preserve the potency if I dry and then jar?

As long as you have plenty of air circulation it should only také a week to dry. Then seal it in airtight containers, garbage bags, ziplocks, glass jars... It should definately help.

If you are growing in an area that has some trees, you can cut and hang them outside to dry, removing as many fan leaves as possible will aide in drying time.

DONT USE A FOOD DEHYDRATOR.

Mexicans pile hundreds of plants together and let them bake in the sun for a day, then trim, and turn it into brick.

Best get it dry within a week or two, and seal it in an airtight container, it won't mold.

Dude you are a rockstar thanks for the advice. I couldn’t stand to see all this good weed going to waist. I need something to come back to. One month or so to harvest and I’m going to string the suckers up.

I'm surprised no one would fuck with it for six months. I'd be too afraid to just leave it hanging somewhere for that long.
