lollipop questions???

jus basically wanted to kno wen to lollipop? before or after flip? how much to take off? how much space to leave underneath for air passage in SOG, 4 plants per foot... thnx all
 
the bottom part of your plant is where you want to do your cutting. think of the plant as a 3 piece suit. the top/canopy, the middle and the lower part. trim them before the flip, and around the end of week 2 of flower.

also, should there be any recovery time after trimming them, before the flip? or should i jus trim em, then flip the the light the same day??

Say you are planting dozens and dozens in pop bottles for 12/12 lolipops (not what I am doing at all but maybe in the future?) and only want the one main cola
What do you do then? Or is that ridiculous idea?
 
i stripped mine after 12/12 a few days and they kept growng like crazy no recovery time needed at all.
 
Looks like you topped it. Was it just for hst or clones?

I see two fan leaves in the undercanopy area - how come you left those on?

I am doing a grow right now - its my first major lst (no biggy) - but my first time prunning as much as I did too.

well yes i did top her and i stripped all of the growth on the bottom half. i left those big leaves on because they were still really healthy and they are serving the main stalk (i think).

a few of the sisters i removed those two big leaves because they were all used up. yellowing and pulled off really easy.
 
Good deal - I have been figuring out how the leaves provide certain parts of the plant with energy and nutrition depending on its location as well. Pretty cool.

What I do now is trim the lower branches, bit still leave 1 node for a budsite.

I flower in 2 liter Hempys.
 
I lollipopped the hell out of mine, but they are looking nice. I FIM and lollipop to get a bunch of big nugs.
