Live Shows

I've never bought a concert ticket 10 months out.

I'm sure it'll be a great show...the only live band I've seen that put on a better show was Rush. Those Canucks can jam.

Speaking of Rush...I took my dad to see them on this tour. Amazing show.

The early 80's were a blur, but I'm pretty sure I never saw Rush. That I remember anyway.

That's a shame...assuming you are into their music that is. They really put on a great show, I'm bummed they called it quits.

I'm too young to have been into them back in the 70's/80's, but my dad is a big fan and I got into Rush through him. We went to see them play in 2010 twice (LA area and Vegas inside of a week) and then whenever they came through on tour. I think we've seen them 4 or 5 times. It was nice to have a show we could both enjoy.

Yes, I've always liked them. My roommate in the Navy was a huge fan and bought every album as soon as it was released. {he was the same way about the Police} They just didn't come close enough when I had the time and money to go. Since I've been back home {1984} I haven't had the chance to see many shows. I can go to Tallahassee, Panama City or Dothan, but the pickings are pretty slim. The last 4 or 5 years I have seen a few shows at The Moon, a big bar in Tallahassee. It has better sound than the Civic Center, where most of the big name bands play.

I had a chance to see them 7-8 years ago, I wish that was something I'd followed through on. Now it'll never happen. Such is life...
I never saw them either. Always respected him and his music. His being included in the Traveling Wilburys show how well thought of he was in the music community. Those guys are/were all heavy weights.

I'm fortunate to live pretty much equidistant to Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego counties, I'm 70-80 miles away from a lot of large venues that big acts come through.

I don't go to near as many concerts now as I did in my 20's, never enough time, but I've made it a point to see certain bands whenever they come through...the lads in Iron Maiden are all in their early 60's and the singer had a scare with throat cancer a few years back..life is short, gotta enjoy it while it lasts.

All my favorite bands are in their 70's, so yea I know what you mean.

My sister goes to a lot of shows. Both in Florida and Colorado. She thinks nothing of paying 75-100 bucks for tickets, but I'm wired different. lol I have issues spending money.
