you shouldnt have any worries. it is a few minute job and the benefit is they will not have to come to the meter to read it every month. so actually less traffic.

Power meter is outside the basement wall. My panel is in my veg room, on the other side. Again, they said, "If no one is home they will leave a note on my front do to tell me the meter had been changed."

Don't worry they do not need to enter your house unless of course they have to use the bathroom, in which case you can be rude and say it's out of order and you yourself have to run down to the corner gas station when you have to go. Happy Growing and may all of your harvests be bountiful.

I don't care if they come in. They just can't have access to my panel without me spending a 4-5 hours clearing it out. Just don't want them to run into a problem and be like, "We fucked something up, we need to see your panel."

My company replaced our meters last year. they shouldn't need to enter or do anything with your panel. One thing I will say is that when they swapped my meter they did have to disconnect the power. so that was a little bit annoying.
