you should make a "quad cfl" setup. buy one of those heavier duty clip on lights with round reflector. then 3 "y" adapters 2 "y's" will hook into the end of 1 "Y" so you can now run 4 cfl's under the reflector. much more effective i think. great for mothers.

save for an HID and do not accumulate a crapload of cfl's. put that hard earned dough int HPS and be patient while you save.

peace

Cheers - what do you mean about the Y adapters? I wouldn't know where to put them. The large 'heavy duty' CFL I have is 6400k + 150w. The smaller CFL I have is just a normal 24w (150w equivalent) bulb. I only stuck that there because I had it spare from earlier in the grow.

Well I re-potted a couple of days ago (both of them) and I think my larger one is having some problems – basically quite a few of the leaves have the following and/or symptoms:

- Tips dying
- Edges going yellow then brown
- Leaves appear to be drying out

It’s still making new, healthy growth but then some of the new growth leaves seem to adopt the symptoms above after a few days.

Now I know I put too many nutrients in last week, but I thought they would have been flushed out now or at least symptoms improving. So I’ve decided to do a couple of things...

Firstly I have bought a PH testing kit and I will test the soil in each of the pots once or possibly twice to get a more accurate reading.

Secondly, I re-potted the bigger one in a very large pot and as such I didn’t have a saucer/catch-tray for water. So I used a bin bag to layer the bottom to cover the holes. However I realise that was a dumb idea as it will encourage root rot and not allow for drainage, so I’ve bought a large saucer and I will pierce the black backs above the holes so I don’t have to take all the soil out just to get the bag out – just simply make it able to drain again.

Any other opinions guys? The smaller plant (diff strain) looks (touch wood) 100% healthy. Can’t see any deficiency in the plant at all.

Okay guys, just some updated pictures.

My Amnesia Lemon (5 weeks) next to my auto-flowering White Widow (3 1/2 weeks)

Is my auto-flowering showing signs of sex already?

Here's an extreme close up!

Cheers buddy! Yeah I've noticed a lot of white pistils(?) on my auto-flowering plant - she is growing very well! I did say White Widow, but I meant White Moscow! It's a cross between Lowryder and White Russian.

I'm about to take and upload some more pics - I know the Amnesia Lemon got some nute burn on the lower leaves but the newer leaves are growing through much more green and healthy! So she seems fine now. Also, as the soil is so covered over by the density of the plant, it is still very moist and I watered it about 4-5 days ago now. Maybe longer - is that okay?

Up first is the White Moscow... does each pistil area mean that buds will grow there? Because there are a lot of pistils!!!

And my Amnesia Lemon - she is so damn bushy! It's nuts... like parting the leaves still doesn't really help much as it's so dense... check for yourselves... I tried my best to part the leaves.

Thoughts and opinions on their growth please! I only fed my Amnesia Lemon twice... both were far too much (see nute burn) so haven't fed it for like 2 weeks now? With the White Moscow I have fed it 2-3 times now on like 1/2 solution.

Hey guys any comments on how they're doing at the mo? Also any idea why my Amnesia is so bushy? I've tried to view a few plants of the same strain and they don't look as bushy as this.

take that off 24 hours of light!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! put them on 18/6 do not stay on 24
What makes you think I'm on 24/7? I've kept them on 18/6.

Do you think the Amnesia Lemon is mature enough to go into flowering? It's been roughly 5 weeks.

Also as the other is an auto-flowering - will putting that on 12/12 limit it's yield or affect it in anyway?

Cheers.

Here, a few updated pictures. Up first is the auto-flowering White Moscow.

Here's my Amnesia Lemon...

Any ideas on whether I should switch the lighting to 12/12 yet? Or whether it'll be adviseable at least to change the bulb to a warmer CFL? I have a 150w CFL in 2700k spectrum to go in, but is it too early? Or will it benefit both plants at the moment?

Some input would be great as I'm still a big noob! Thanks.

White Moscow (main cola)

Bud sites

Overview of both plants

Amnesia Lemon

Think 2 days after the switch might be a little early to see pre-flowers? :D

Okay 5 days or so in and I think I have small flowers starting to grow on the Amnesia Lemon. :)

Here, zoomed in... damn flash is a bit bright tho!

And some pictures of the White Moscow... again! Hows the main cola coming along guys?

And some new bud growth too on the WM...

Thanks for looking - comments welcome! Any idea on how long the WM has left to flower before she needs harvesting? Cheers!

Hey guys any thoughts on that auto flower? Still many more weeks left would you say? The Amnesia Lemon has very visible female parts now so all is good!

Random bud site at bottom of the plant:

Any idea WTF this is? Like some weird pigmentation problem...

Amnesia Lemon:

Big leaf...

Sex showing:

Comments on how they are both doing so far?

I'm worried about my Amnesia Lemon because I have a lot of light leaks. I guess if it turns out hermi I'll have to just deal with it. :(

That white moscow looks like she has more than two weeks left bro. Wait for the weed to visibly look ready to load into a bowl and smoke. Trust me, being patient pays in the end.
