Need advice new to growing

Hi all. New to growing all together. Trying to learn and pick it up by trial and error. Ive had about 3 previous seeds die after sprouting. Best one made it to about week 4. Ive only tried autos as of now but want to try photos as well.

plant im working with now is purple haze auto by original sensible seeds. So far growth looks decent. Shes about to go into week 3 since popping out of soil and is looking small to me. Like i said i am new to this so i could be overthinking it. I have 3 bulbs working as light source. 2 Walmart plant bulbs 60w equivalent and 1 regular 150w a21 bulb. 18/6 schedule. Plant lights are about 11 inchs from top of plant and the 150w is at the very top of the box. No nutes added. Just tap water and its had compost tea once.A9EE50F6-8F31-4BA3-B210-5ECFF01810E8.jpeg 969FCE3C-D0BD-4FA3-B59A-243A5BB974DE.jpeg456FA653-9A91-4176-8DB8-995A9B8152A1.jpeg0248F13D-F695-4EDA-AB7B-FD032E0B8046.jpeg69610BC7-88BC-4040-982F-31FAD66B12BC.jpeg

my main questions really are is my lighting good enough and does the plant look stunted for its age?

Just started lst today so no prior stress really. Only prior issue was power went out for 2 days. Thanks in advance for any answers or help.

(side note: this is a budget build for me as its my first grow and im still trying to afford good equipment. Grow room(box) isnt great but holds temp and humidity pretty well. I dont own a par meter or ppm tester just the basics. Also the previous plant that died were due to cats and baby ripping them out. This is first grow in the box.)

You can veg with those lights but as they get bigger you will want other lighting. Once you go to flower to make this worth it you will absolutely need more light.
You want to fill the pots up with soil as well don't leave it partially filled.

Dude, you have a good start. However, you are definately gonna need more light. You need at least a 100w qboard over that girl. You can buy 1 on Amazon for $60 that will put 1 3 ft auto through flower. Im on a tight budget too, so I bought 2 last year. Although i need more light too, I can run 3-4 autos in a 2x3 and have gotten 6 runs so far. Skip the blurple lights, theyre bad to burn plants. Bloomspect SL1000, Samsung lm281b diodes, sosen driver. $59.99. If you can afford a better one great if not itll get er done. Looks like you got a 2x2 sized setup. 100w will bring you buds. Save the walmart lights for side light. Good luck. Welcome to RIU! But seriously, without more light you're wasting your time. It might give you a quarter bag if youre lucky.

lights, plus thats a purrty big home to start that chitlin. you wont see alot of upwards growth untill the roots fill that home in s'more.
Right! If he does get enough light , thats when that explosive growth happens. Until then I dont see much happening either.

Pot up to a pot as big as you can fit in that space and, as was mentioned, fill to the top with soil. Flip that plate over so the runoff drains away instead of pooling up and creating a soggy bottom. The roots will thank you.

I started to rig up my own setup using like 6-8 led bulbs from lowes but the cost of the sockets then wire, wood to mount etc. and it was as much or more than a cheap amazon growlight. Yes itll work, though. I once used a 250w halogen landscaping light my drunk roomate ripped out of the ground and a 4 ft 2 tube fluorescent to grow 2 plants 25 years ago. Man that light got hot lol.
