Light question

Hi All,

I have a veg and flower room, veg has 110W 6500K the flower has 400W HPS. I have 6 newly transplanted clones in 3 gallon pots in the veg room. I have some extra space in the flower room.. and was thinking about putting a few of the veg plants under the HPS for a 6 hours or so and then switch back under the 110W for 24/0.

Is this ok to do? Or, does it take a plant a few days to get acclimated to another spectrum.. and I could be doing more harm than good switching it up?

Thanks for any help!

More of anything is not better!

all elements need to be balanced, dialed in for optimum performance

a good grow is the sum of all parts!

and less can be more if you understand how it all works together

try ditching the cfl for a 150w cmh... and then you wont have to move them at all.
in fact, you might be tempted to flower with it, lol...
they make cmh up to 400w, i believe.

personally i love cfl's....
but i honestly think they are better for connoiseur growing rather than quantity grows.
more than 1-3 plants under cfl's, they just dont penetrate as well as a smaller mh or ideally a cmh, and because of that the plants will want to stretch, which in turn gives longer internode spacing, which means you get less bud sites per plant than if you were using hid for veg.
tho in my own experience, buds flowered under cfl's taste much better than hps, but they take forever to finish lol...
just my .02
