Both of you gents make the same point. Your worried about a control that is based on cannabis value... monsantos control is a poor comparison my brother.

There is no comparison. Its the perfect storm if you will. And stowandgrow, your right too, its up to the people as individuals. If everyone could be controlled, no one would be free.

Worried about not being able to grow it, is more to the point. Decriminalize...I don't need it regulated & taxed...nor do i want to see the cannabis terminator gene plant or buy my meds @ Walmart. FTW does not mean under government control.

Walmart is not my choice...it was an attempt to illustrate how big business will become involved. Decriminalize first....then we can argue about how it should be legalized.

Its time for people to lose this thought process against legalization because they think they are going to lose out on the opportunity to sell it... that's what it boils down too.

Legalizing it would open opportunity and even more people would be growing than there is now.. theyd have a hard time regulating that..

Legalize and get this shit over with.

You're off the mark.

Would you prefer to be able to grow your own marijuana, or would you rather turn that right over to Merck, or Marlboro? If you like being able to grow your own, then ask yourself this: Why aren't Merck or Marlboro currently producing/selling marijuana? Because it's illegal for them to do so.

Flip the script and legalize marijuana, and they will be all over this like flies on shit. Marijuana surpassed corn as the number one cash crop in this country. There is an obscene amount of money on the table here. If you don't believe that big corporations will take this over and legislate the rest of us out of the ability to grow our own then I think you're not looking at this with your eyes wide open.

Good point. I've made the same argument for rescheduling- it just makes it legal and puts it in the hands of big pharma, physicians and pharmacists.

Perhaps the answer is to simply make it a civil infarction of some sort, but remove the forfeiture money from the equation. Make it a low yield pain in the ass to prosecute and they will move on to other cases.

Bob-thats the most rational thing i have seen you write in awhile.....
i totally agree with this--(statements like that make me almost want to retract comments ive directed @u)but i cant-

all though i did have 'high' hopes for your tax stamp idea....that would have solved everything but given too much latitude to the little guys

it would have solved the farmers market equation-

DI'd you know jack? Jack herrer?
smoked with him qutite a number of times out west...
hes gone now and i went to his wake

his last big effort was with 'eddy lepp' in case you arent aware of it--google eddy and see what happened to him...

yeah jack is gone but his dream vision lives on and he was right and one of the first to champion it loudly

--hemp for :

-fuel
-textiles
-building
-food
-medicine

hemp can save the world

i believe the original hippies that are and have been growing west are rethinking their strategy allthough ed R-is a vocal proponent of legalization.....it serves his ego well

and i have been in his oakland warehouse grows and you definately dont want to know what i think of those....i helped fight against his push to obtain 4dispensary/warehouse grow license in Oakland-
....they have zoned home grows mostly out since i was there last

he did good in the beginning bringing awareness and more but now i think hes been smokin too much strong indica and after seeing his tirade in A2for hash bash....well........lolol

totally concious and aware response!

you have hit the nail on the head

my friends brother who is a big dr(closet smoker) has been on consulting for the last 10+ yrs with rjr and con-ag and a slew of his friends and you have no idea the things i have heard.....
--they are waiting like cats for legalization to occur....their is a plan in place they have been working on for like 15-20yrs....and when it goes off well--you will see it like canada and back underground is the goal-

the only thing they need is for us to vote 'for' legalization--then its game over

(hence the dialectic they have created....if you dont understand that i cant possibly explain it....go back to skool or get some popcorn and watch what happens)

great post!!

exactly my sentiments.....an echo-

you too seem like your 'reasoning' gland is working--

you must drink filtered rso water and not flouride from the tap-?[smile]

I am dieing.
I have dedicated my life to my child, and to all of man kind through cannabis education. Monitary gain has no value in my life. I am broke. I work for the sake of my child, and the power of selfless good deeds. I cannot take care of myself and have the help of family however, I opened a patient and caregiver service in Michigan for one very important reason to me. It was very important to me, to leave Alaska and support change in the very place I was born, and return to the same town I was arrested in over cannabis, many many years ago. I was charged with 15 years for growing my own medication...for that, I am who I am. For the sake of my child, his education in the TRUTH about cannabis and the political power overseeing its legal/illegal status was of the upmost importance for me, before my time is up. I have worked with countless patients in the few years I have been here and for each, my work has been a gift. I dont seek to gain, or secure interests for anyone who does. I am here to end a drug war that affects the entire globe. I know my efforts are small, effect few people, and have little affect on the grand scheme. What I also know, is that I am one man doing what every man can. Speaking out, standing up (when not in a wheelchair), and giving myself to others for a greater cause. I understand that not everyone can be in my position and let lifes woes melt away and take on dreams; but my dream is freedom. My dream is achievable, and when I die, my job will be done. I will be free. My son, I will always worry about, long after my time. For he, I will work until that time. I hope some of you will carry on and help take care of my child. Insure him freedom, and yours.
Thank you.
All one love,

... I simply do not agree fellas.

Legalization is inevitable. Mark my words, Quote me.

You will lose your right to grow the plant you love so much though. Mark my words. Uncle Sammy knows how much money he stands to lose by letting us grow for ourselves, and Sammy wont lose. Hope i'm wrong.

my heart bleeds for your passionate appeal bro-

the drug war will never end...they make too much $ off the 'dialectic'

and with the cia in control of all the cocaine heroin and meth...

thats how they fund their black ops but no one talks about it..

( why do you think were in afghanistan and there has been the largest opium crops ever recorded there since we went in there....just like vietnam...)
talk to your sons and daughters that have served there....you will be surprised they are afraid to discuss it or cant-
[read :"Politics of Heroin in Southeast Asia" if you wanna understand --'dialectic']

the streets are flooded with good cheap 'too strong' [intentionally] heroin--just read any major newspaper and you will see all the overdoses in the suburbs

we should be in the streets with pitchforks torches and rakes screaming at those motherfuckers to keep their dope away from our kids....
--all the while they lock us up for a harmless benign plant that helps more than all the evil drugs they saturate our cities with

tears and prayers for you and yours:peace:

jackson aint over yet tho-
and ill be there in the streets with you guys...i urge this whole board to participate ....finally

aug...??

The greatest of empires were eventually over thrown, african slave trade ended in our country, a man walked the moon (lol, or maybe not ;) ), private space exploration has begun, and folks are talking about a colony on Mars.... Knowledge sets you free. The people are learning!
