any ideas about this LED light system...was going to get it and run with it...but if there are some that have used it and had neg results i would love to hear that before I drop a crap ton of money on it.... http://shop.sunshine-systems.com/product.sc?productId=10 was going to use 4 linked together in a 6x3 foot grow room lined with mylar....yes? no? maybe?

I should be getting my blackstar 240w today also !! cant wait its out for delivery!!

That aint doing no 5 square feet of coverage...I can tell you that much. Stick to Blackstar LED, Kessil LED, 357 Magnum, Haight, or ISIS. (at least those are my suggestions) I got 740W of blackstar running in conjunction with 1K HPS, churning out some great looking bud.

okay, so after contacting kessils uk distributor (hydrogarden) they told me only blue & red versions avalable here at the mo. The girl I spoke to was pretty clueless so that may well not be strictly true, but the truth is I'm coming round to the idea of getting this light instead now anyway:

It just seems easier with it being in the UK, plus I can always add a kessil or 2 later once I've been up & running a while. This uk ebay light was recommended earlier in this thread and I dont know why, but I thought when I checked it out at the time that it was way more expensive than £200.
Anyway any kind of info/reassurance on the light would be appreciated.

i am thinking of getting a secret jardin Dp90 36" x 24" x 24".would 1 kessil be enough strictly for running autoflowers?

i think that would surfice in that space if you kept your plants bushy. but i mean real bushy lol.

2 would be better, 1 would be a long shot. For the price of two however, you can cop another light that is higher wattage and larger footprint. Maybe get one kessil, and one cheap LED to be its wingman. I wouldn't grow with just one. Im sure it will be fine in veg, but in flower I have my doubts that you won't be sacrificing some potential.

I think its gonna turn out to be pretty much bang on. I know 600's real well as I ran them for years. So far, other than the plants looking healthier (gotta love LED for that) I'd say I'm on track.....but the weighout will judge

PS Dunit, If you are out there, I got my IR thermometer (my daughter took it to play with) and got some temperature readings from the blackstar 500W. On the metal plate heatsink, the highest temp I could find was 94.5 degrees and that was away from the fans. By the fans it was only about 89 degrees (highest reading I can find). The temp in the room is 78. From the front (LED side) of the light, the highest reading was also about 94.

PICS (just believe me that I got the heat sink inside the light and not the grate piece, I moved the IR around until I got the highest reading):

Yeah man, growing the same as a 600 and yielding the same as a 600 are two different things. That is the big hurdle for all LEDs. I cant see your grow doing badly however, so Im sure it will close if not right there.

Well this infared and uv on this blackstar is suppose to prevent mold and fungus right maybe ill just rotate each light on both sides maybe that will help kill some of the fungus.

I have used this guy for my lights, got the veg light this week and the main light should be here next week. Ive nothing to compare my 140 watt veg light to but its very very bright. Give the guy a shout he will be happy to answer any questions you have. He really really knows his stuff and has convinced me his lights will be alot better than anything else but only time will tell.

Its £199 per 70 watts of light.

Im hoping the extra money i have spent will be worth it.

For you uk guys this might be better as far as times sake and not using a converter to accept uk power. But I think in the long haul your spending a lot more than is needed per watt. I would contact him and negotiate.
