can you have parallel strings with different voltages?
so if lights are same specs, could i have
strings
1: 4 lights
2: 5 lights
3: 4 lights

hope this makes sense

So i bought two quantum boards they are 3000k in spectrum. They said general use and flower. Are they going to do good in veg. My plants seem to be growing slow. Im 3 weeks in on the big guys and a week on the small.15446704391821104600297461363033.jpg Screenshot_20181212-190503_Samsung Internet.jpg

Thinking of adding some 1' strips to supplement my 400 Watt 3000k Vero29 kit from Timber.
I have been running the cobs around 300w in a 4x4 tent and I want to get closer to 500 total.
I was thinking of surrounding or coming off my cobs with some Samsung F-Series LT-F284B.

Seems like Digi-Key only has the H series in the 1 footers, and that would require about 12.
Does anyone know where to pick some up in the US, or any other better ideas?
Thanks

Why not use 4 2 footers and run them @ 25w

If I can't get the 1 footers I may go with the 2'.
My idea was to make a square aluminum frame, something like 38 x 38 to go on the outside, and around my cobs. Place a couple 1 footers, spaced, on each of the four sides (8 total). I thought that would spread the coverage out better that way, that's all. Don't know whether to attach to my COB fixture or keep separate. Maybe it's not even a good idea. I don't know.

I do know I want to completely utilize my whole tent space and I definitely need more lighting to get full frost.

Never used or worked with the strips, so they would be new to me, but I've been reading up on them.
So many good reports on them, and their priced right.

Should of planned it out better from the get go, but I didn't.
It would be easier to just go with all strips. But since I already invested a while back on the Vero's, I'd like to work them in.
They do a superb job for 9 sq. ft.
But not as much at 16; and now I'm greedy, and want to FILL the tent. Hehe

What driver would be best for the 4 - 2 footers @ 25% ?

Thanks

Could i get an opinion on these cree strips vs fstrips vs qb 120x4 in a 32”x32” soil grow. I currently am running samsung f strips

An i saw these cree strips

Cost for the fstrip is 32.00 cost of the cree are 10.00 cost og qb 4x120 boards would be 120.00 then of course cost of driver.
Also i ws wondering about a set up of mix kelvin
1x3000k- 1 x 4000k- 1x2700k- 1x4000k- 1x3000k
Mostly for flower but i would like to be able to run full cycle also. And ibwas considering an
Hlg 240-48 @ 1 amp per strip should hit
230-240 w 32 w per sq ft.?? Any in oit would be most helpful

Those Cree J-series strips look very good and cutter is a reputable source for LEDs/LED modules. There is nothing wrong with them, efficiency seems very good too. 190lm/w is at least 2,7μMol/J, system efficiency min. 2,5μMol/s. To get 2,7μMol/J from F-strips you have to drive them with 50-60mA per diode. 500mA instead 1120mA and double rows ~1000mA. From this POV its an awesome deal for a tenner...

Does Australia have magic J series 3030's? 195lpw from the jk3030?? Not seeing that anywhere, in person or specs. Even at the cold start min output, they aren't hitting those numbers.

Why not grab some H-influx strips over F strips if F's are getting price gouged so much right now? Can push the 301b's or the 561c's pretty good and still get better efficiency than a J series chip ran softer.

I have a ballast/hood 400w that does mh and hps from vivosun and the mh went out it sucks!!!! I have an old mh 400w that probably came from a shop and it flickers. So back to the 2’ 4 bulb t5 for veg. Glad the hps still works. Anywho I was going to get a digital ballast 600w but for same price there is high reviews of a 1500w led with the 6 light spectrum says it does both veg and bloom or together with actual wattage of 260 so 130 each. So should I do the led or just get a digital? Also I tried growing 3 time before and it was bad like nothing and very loose. This is my 4th time and it looks a lot better. Tried to start a journal but it just brings up errors.

Cheap lights usually turn out to be bad. Tho seeing the specific unit might help making a definitive judgement, if you’re comfortable working with electricity diy is what i would suggest. Put together 500w 18 cob fixture for 250ish.

I’ll look into it. I imagine it’s like running lights in the garage except with a plug end. Thanks. I want to use in a 5x5 space so I’ll have to figure how many cob LED’s and what wattage for each one. I seen that some of those cobs fold down on the sides $$$ but all light goes down as well

This is the fixture. 3 independent aluminium “slabs” with 6 cxb1830s on each. Can fold or individually adjust the height or angles which comes in handy when you have this kind of a canopy :)

No this is 2 6500K 70cri, 6 4000K 80cri and 10 3000K 90cri. My veg bar is 2 6500, 2 3000, 2 4000.
Yeah you can go with plug and play, usually cheap ones broke down easily and if you’re gonna order a chinese one you can do it on aliexpress. They’re cheaper their and all companies virtually produce the same light fixtures.

Hello guys !

A lil' question, is it alright to run some lm561c 288QB at 0.5A 24w without heatsink ?
I guess it is but wanted to check with some experienced users
