Yea a saw those HTGs but was thinking of my lights at 10" - 12" above the canopy and was thinking they were a tad too powerful.
Obviously the HTC Tubes aren't for sale in eu uk

How pricey for shipping depends on how it's done I suppose, is the package coming from the US? It was around £20 for the gg boards.
Have you an SPD chart on the htg PureUV tube?

Ah, oh, sorry, Mo! I forget! UK not US! :wall:
Don't know what it will cost in the end, but @Aolelon will let me know later today how much it is. He will send me 6 tubes which probalby weigh less then 2lbs.
Do you still remember who delivered your ggboards? DHL, UPS, FedEx? He goes to parcel service today and wants to ask how much it is. $ 20 would be awesome!
Arcadia has also a D3 "Dragon" with 14% UVB, but this tube is only available in the UK. They says it reach 4" deeper as the D3 "Desert"(12%). So at least a bit more powerful.
Seems I life indeed in the wrong country, lol!
I will find out later today what the shipping costs will be and then let you know. Would be nice if you know which parcel service was used with your ggboards(maybe we need to ask Vegas, lol?). If we can do it for ~$ 20, we could think of something together, so that you can get some tubes too. We've tooked eight bulbs, two for him, six for me and bulkprice with 8 is 17,85$ for the 2footers.

USPS , I just checked £17.42p to be exact.
I think USPS go by package size but that was cheap enough.
That' a good price for the tubes.

I can't see you needing SIX so when you've run 1 x tube for 1000 hrs I'll buy it off you for €10........!

That sounds a lot better, I did a quote online through DHL and they want 157$ to ship I'm like hell no. Maybe I was entering something wrong, or on the wrong quote page. But just quoting usps gives me 33$-70$ depending on speed of mailing, so I bet if I go in and price the shipping it will be cheaper. UPS wanted 250$ for the online quote

Just a thought, maybe you could ask someone on RIU to purchase the tubes and get them to post it to you privately.
I used PayPal to pay vegaswinner.
My package was only around 200mm x 450mm x 40mm, quite small and lightweight as it was only boards I was getting.

Going to use vipar 900watt for my first grow for about 4 plants in 1.2x1.2 grow room. Will I be able to use for seedlings? Any one got any tips for height of light with this led?

This 900w unit has only ~400 true watts or so and the diodes are not that efficient anyway. This means it's probably not enough light for a 4x 4' area.
If possible, send it back and invest in a better light using white COB's, LED strips or mid power diode boards.
4 quantumboards v2 or a HLG550v2 from horticulture lighting groop would be one of the best solutions available to date for a 4x 4' area like yours.
+2,5μMol/j means twice as efficient as the Vipar900 and the boards are directly made by Samsung.

Do yourself a favor and read a few more threads here in the LED section. Then you will rethink everything probably and decide for sure on something else than a Vipar900.

Leds for outdoors.
Why pay for your electric when you can get it for free?

The latest top of the range "Solar Powered Stealth leds.
From China, I suspect, although they carry a German flag of convenience sticker on them.
They claim they use the latest Vero cobs v2s but I suspect Epileds.......
They come in both veg and flower spectrum with a stated output of 10 umols per hour from gammon ray range all the way down to radio frequencies.
I'm not to keen on the lenses though as they might create unnecessary hotspots so I'll remove them.

This plant was 8" tall yesterday and is 8 ft tall today.

And here is a video for an in-depth analysis by some spacers

Those are some top of the line leds. They grew your plant over 7' in 1 day. Holy shit I want some of those leds, or some of whatever it is you are smoking!

And yes the 25mm tape will work for the 20mm strips, I used some for my strips and they work well. I don't imagine i could remove the strips from their heatsink without damaging them.
Do you think I can glue L channels with U channels and make frame?

Like a heatsink? Or do you mean an actual frame? Sorry I'm unable to picture what you mean in my head
Frame.
I will mount 5x Samsung strips on U channels with double tape. And then I want to glue 2x L channels to those U channels to make frame/light.

Ah like glue the ends of the uchannel perpendicular to the L channels? Pretty much instead of screwing? I dont see why that wouldn't work as long as its industrial, and you hang by the frame and not the u channel. When my lights hang I dont mess with them very much except to lower, raise them.
