Led lights watts advertised vs actual watt output???

I would definitely run it wide open as would be more power. And I also have around 150-200 watts in cfls. Would the watts add together like that so if had the 240 plus cfls Would that realistically, give me 400w gice or take
Yes, use both veg and bloom switches for flower. That’s how they’re designed to be used.

Best of luck on your grow.
Be sure to stop back with a link to your journal or some updates here...so we can see how it went...and for others too...lol
Absolutely..right now I'm half way threw a grow with the cfls. I just started a sweet gelato auto seed .wanted to give her the best chance I could.I will be sure to keep an update.

Just had a thought about your grow...using coco and now adding the LED lights.
I have noticed with reading a few LED + coco grows that a cal-mag supplement may be needed...for some reason or another the regular nute line-ups don't seem to have enough when growing under LEDs and using coco.
Just a FYI.

I hear that! Yes coco is notorious for calmag deficiency..I always keep a 16oz calmag bottle on hand! Thanks for lookig out

Gonna chime in here - might be a bit late to this party - but WTF!

A 2' x 3' x 5' tent is a bit of a small area to grow 3-4 plants. 2 plants would be better suited for a 2 x 3. Even one big one. 2 x 4 x 5 grower here and I get 2 pretty good sized plants in that space. There is no way that I would be able to get a 3rd in mine. Recommend you cap it at 2.

I saw a mention earlier of the Viparspectra LED's - a Viparspectra grower here as well.

If you have not already made your decision, check out the Viparspectra DS600 dimmable LED. 260 true watts that can flower a 2.5' x 2.5' area nicely at 20" above the canopy. You start flowering with the full VEG and BLOOM then gradually dim the VEG lights as you get later into flowering to increase the red spectrum. You can still add some of your CFL's to augment.

As I said earlier, I might be a bit too late to this party ...

I have the one coming already. I had looked up the viparspectra. But like i said I had around 100 limit and that's anywhere from 170-250 bucks ..oit of my range. Paid 70 bucks for the 240 actual watt one. Should work for my,needs. I Appriciate it tho!

This light maxed out my par meter at floor level. Somewhere well above 30 thousand
Are you sure that's not a lux meter? I'm having a hard time understanding how you only have a $100 for an led but have a par meter? A good one is at least $500

Hydrofarm has them. Par meter... And I don't understand why its always like if someone don't spend 1000 bucks on something its junk... You can get adequate equipment for a reasonable price sometimes. And I limit my price on stuff because 1. I'm not a pro 2. I'm doing this for fun. 3. There's cheap stuff so why go all out. I understand ya get what you pay for but there are people that don't have money to blow so if I can have a journal with cheap equipment and pull a decent yield .. Well then everyone's happy.. That help ya understand?
