I find that difficult to believe.
Yeah. Same. But hortilux was one of the companies which have those blurple greenhouse fixtures. Apparently up to 3.5umol/j. IIRC the one I thought about DIYing would've been almost 4 umol/j, but at the time it would have cost almost 1500€ for about 1000umol/s, so I settled for <3 umol/j white for 500€.

Hell ya man. You get it! The harder it is for the gasses have to escape to bigger the BOOM, lol. My buddy in 7th or 8th grade's dad was a mad scientist that would teach his kid all kinda of shit, and them he'd tell me about them. It was crazy the shit I was doing back then. Things have changed though, so I'm a little more reserved with that kinda shit now. Fuck you Bin Laden, :finger:, lol.
I think you mean Fuck Timothy.

God I really hope this world isn’t teaching you kids that we gave up our freedom in the mid 90s to own most chemical substances, and in any quantity we wanted, because of “bin laden”.

Now, Osama is the guy we should thank for such blessings as the TSA, “Real IDs”, and our current functioning immigration system that still requests a colonoscopy and stool sample from my gold fish every time I sponsor a tourist visa for my 80-yo father in-law because my wife comes from one of the _-istans and god forbid he come here freely and spend time with my wife and our family here as much as possible to reduce the need and frequency of my beloved wife or myself from traveling back over there, where/when every fucking goddamn time she/we travel over there some asshat within 1,000 miles does something to start a political game with cruise missiles, and after over about 20 years of this bullshit somebody else in this country could just sincerely care for more than a 5-second tic-toc-video-worth and not hate… *biiig sigh*

Ya, I know, sorry. It’s early morning. My wife just left last weekend to go home for her father’s 80th birthday. No coffee or sinsemilla yet, not sleeping good, lot on my mind, a little on my shoulder, etc… time to smoke.

Airy as fuck with the sun master se
Sounds like grower error more than a lamp issue to me. Unless I'm mistaken Sun master puts out more photons. Maybe Hortilux has a better spectrum, but I don't buy a 39% difference, all other factors being equal.

Those charts don't mean shit
to verify what these guys are advertising always check out the information on their DLC certification listing. If they are within 5% of their listing they're numbers should be trusted if they go beyond that it might be a bit suspect. We have something new that might fit your needs especially if you're an advanced grower.

I run 9 plants per 4x4 in 3 gallons
gavita 1700e, HLG scorpion second version but you might have to add heat. I've tested out the MH and SF and not confident with some of those builds. We also have something for you as well if you want something with more features than these lights and a but lighter on the wallet. DM if your interested. What's your budget?

If you're only needing to cover a 4x4 then look into a "600 watt" led like the Luxx 645, Growers Choice 680, FLoraflex 650 (New) and or Phantom Photobio MX.

I personally run the Growers Choice 720 in my veg room. Just realize LED tech is totally different than HID lighting (HPS, MH etc) so you are going ton eed to make sure you're applying the correct practices. If you read a thread and they recommend 75 °F / 45% RH that doesn't apply to you if you're under LED, for best performance they require hotter air temps around 80 °F and 45% RH especially if supplementing co2..

I know Growers Choice 720 will yield around 1.5 pounds per/light with most genetics I tried, but I ended up going back to HPS for better yields and bigger buds. I run LED in my clone & veg rooms.

Im still trying to talk the better half into letting me convert over to LED, Im having a hard time justifying the cost to her. She sees that I could get 4k watts of HID vs just 800w of LED, Im struggling trying to explain the pricing points.
Just tell her how much electricity you will pay and how much product you will get.
New leds usually have a lot more usable light then hid
