PS/edit :m I will upload this updated version also )
Dimmer pot ?
1) beside bucks ?
2 ) on top cover ( via detachable small plug ) ?

( Please show / post me the measurements of new places of moved rivets (~ approx ) on the side angles to ,adjust them, accordingly in my model also ...)

Oh ...
And ..
I need the dimensions of dimmer pot ...(~approx ) ..(and some pics wouldn't be bad )
If there isn't any model ready ,I shall make one ...

i will try to put the complete Electronic on one PCB. this goes on the same side as the XLR-connector.
there will be 3 Bucks, 1 LM317HV(needs cooling), 1 LM7806 for the PWM-Contr. 1 IC(8 pins) some resistors, capacitors and the connectors for leds and the fan.
i need any room that i can get on this side.
if this does not help i can put LM317 and some Parts for this on the Fan-Plate. then we have to use three wires from there. also not a big Problem.

i think towards an microprozessor(Atiny45). two PWM-channels one for the Led the other for the Fan, two Buttons(up/down)very flat ones that can be glued on (membrane keyboard)
can check the fan.
programming software is free. and cheap hardware

looks like that this is nice solution.

now I go for some Beer and some ... :joint:

Well,my brother ,I kinda like the "analog" option better ...
You never know with those microprocessors ...
(We are messing with possible RFI interference / insulation, ect ..Aren't we ? Or I'm just being way over my head ,again ? )

Anyway ...Simple electronics ,are simple to fix also ...(easy spare parts and replacing ,in case of mishappens ) ..

Do you want it that " digital " ,really ?
(Not ,that I 've any particular problem with that ...
It's just about the sensitivity of complex digital electronics ,that I worry ,a bit ... )

Guod ...
Because buck-drivers have the main "mass " of wires ,better for them to stay near the connector ...(and the leds ..)
top cover.jpg...highend.jpg

Have to move the rest electronics to top cover ....
What do you say ?

Hey SDS, don't know how helpful a suggestion it will be, but perhaps to improve the overall elegance of any exposed wires, you could use some extra thick insulated ribbon type (flat) wire and bond it to the surfaces it runs along? if it was the same colour it would look nice.

If its ok with the needed minimum dia (mm^2 ),why not ?
Sounds great ...

So with four of those wonders ....

For 1 m^2 .....

At @350mA all four have ~ 140-150 Watts ...

For economical grows ....(or few plants ...)

At @700 mA all four now have ~280-300 Watts ....

For wild grows ..(300 Watt / m^2 of these Oslon babies ?????
..Ohhhhhh!!!!! ....Yes...THEY CAN GROW SOME(!) SERIOUS BUD ,no jokes about it .....)..

......

Oh ,my savings for the project are increasing ....
But reaaaaallly slowwwww.......
Can't wait the moment that from the monitor/hard disk 'existence' ,those babies will be real ....from real alum ....above real plants .....

:-P
There's always the option that :
Guod ,can handle US orders ..
I and rest of Astir can handle EU orders ...

:-P

Those are pretty heavy boxes there ....
'Travelling overseas ....four of them or six ....
Better buy yourshelf a ticket for the same money ,for the same trip ...
.

:-P

..Just joking ..
.....
.... (probably)...
.....
.....
But ,you never know .....
