LED DIY : Making of a "DJ SET "-style grow led light .

( excess solder paste made bridges ..had to take away the leds ,so to clean the contacts ...In fact I was bored to clean-off the excess .Kinda bet with myshelf if it is going to bridge ..." Yeah ,I f@ckin' knew it ...


Leds taken away really fast ,with alternate -partial pcb hot plating ..
Phone rang ....Empty pcb was left besides ceramic oven plate ......
Dunno how on Earth ,moved to center of (still burnin' hot ) ceramic "stove plate " ...
There's where I found it ,15 ' later ....Looking like that ....Cool .... )

Leds ,resoldered to another pcb ,which I haven't left enough to solder good ...
Placed it ,on heatsink ,just to find out that at 200 mA two whites where going totally off ,and one red was flickering like an old lamp ,outside a filthy ..Bar del Eau ...
..
Take out the pcb ...bending it a bit ....
Resolder the leds ...
Test them .Great ...
On to the free heatsink rivet hole prepared space ....
Tomorrow will clean heatsink ...Take another pcb (I've made plenty !!! ) and solder the remaining leds ....

While the new ones are arriving ....
It's rather great to have a job..
Even for some days only, of the whole week ..
Way better ,from nothing at all ....)

This is soooooo cooool! You rock the DIY world big time. Making me want to try it! Thinking about a ring shape to go above a mainlined scrog circle.

Just a quick question. Light travels in waves and so they can cancel each other out at certain distances. Is this an issue with these emitters?

BTW - I have a Kessil H350 Magenta. I am thinking about getting another. I would have gotten the Tuna Blue (adjusts from 10,000K to 6,500K) but your info about blues makes me just want to get another Magenta.

No way ,that can happen ...

Light waves add and subtract. That is why some patterns look bad on TV. Scientists use the interference as a tool to tune out different wave lengths by shining light through microscopically slotted metal screens. It is cool stuff but it can couse havoc on lighting patterns.

Sound can do the same thing (ie noise cancelling ear phones). When two identical waves are 180 degrees out of phase they cancel each other. I wonder if there is a spacing pattern that would be optimal to avoid cancelled light transmission?

Sunlight as it passes through atmosphere and it's " abnormalities "

So same sunlight ,differs all the time ....

Now ,as it reflects to various objects and landscape features ,it gets massively absorbed ,creating a colourfull world ...

Light that gets reflected ,probably cancels sunlight ,or part of it ..

Ever wondered why some patterns on buildings look like they are moving and you just cant seem to focus on them? The front of the old Stardust hotel in Vegas was one building in particular that looked like it was moving in the sun light. That is caused by the reflected light pattern causing interference patterns. The pattern in the building is equal to a particular wavelength of light.

Plenty of photo acceptor's (pigments ,photosynthetic ,accesory ,photomorphogenic ,phototropic,circadian and other ) molecules ..

Same ChA molecules can operate differently ,on different parts of plant,under different situations ..
And so on ....

Plants are generally ...How I should put it ..? .."Versatile " ....
Easy to adapt (change ) .....


As a life form ,that can not move ..
Not being able to physically act ( at higher animal time and movement terms )..

For sure they differ in other ways ,so to survive ....
They adapt in no-time !
To almost everything !

Some 'things' do promote their growth ...
"Make them thrive " ...
Make them happy and 'fullfiling' their lives ....
First of all is light ...
Rich ,nutritional energy packets ....
Photons of all kinds ....For all "needs " ...

What do you think about using an aluminum grid for the led mount/heat sink?

I think the ultimate will be when we can put small LED screens over every leaf and pump the photons in - boom! No shaded leaves, 100% photosynthesis tuned energy input

Lens is undamaged ...( What kind of hard silicon is that ? Soft but extremely abrassion resistant !!!! )

Sadly, the matrix includes outer space. Lots of very large city size craft there with millions of missing worker bees.
