2-4 zips.. you’ve had some runs go well before (I’m guessing) so I’m assuming you’ll know what to look for in regards to deficiencies and other common issues someone without experience may over look or not catch soon enough. Shoot for a g/per watt? Run some quality autos? Maybe 2. Lst them a bit for max canopy maybe?
Could also max the footprint tf out with a HLG135 kit thats like 150watts. About to upgrade that light out of my 3x after this seed run..

I have a 2x2 tester tent that I run about 150 to 170 watts of LED in. typically run 2 plants in 3 gallon pots or 4 plants in 1 gallon pots, promix, Jack's nutrients, pull 4 to 6 Oz out of it with minimal effort. i top each plant twice and some light LST.

I have recently started running 2 HLG QB 288 boards (same ones in the 135 kit) in my 2x2 running at about 75 watts each. One board cranked worked fine, but the coverage I get running 2 at lower powers is insane. Getting damn near uniform ppfd all the way out to the corners. its probably overkill for someone looking to save money, but I had them laying around and not having the edges and corners with %20 or %30 less light is awesome .

A seasoned grower who is looking to maximize his yield with no problems and growing 4 indicas should be able to yield 4-5 oz jarable bud under a sf1000 or ts1000

and that’s putting in the constant effort of training and proper practice of feeding.
Realistically speaking for a start up I’d say 2 oz of jarable bud. I’m using a sf1000 right now and I’m limiting my expectations to just a couple ounces.

“ I'm not looking for "optimal" yields like the 2.5g/w advertised by these lights. “

2 ounces minimum …. should be very achievable with some basic garden skill …. More depending on grow style and plant training.
But if you are just getting your feet wet then you can run a bag seed to familiarize yourself with the plant and its needs. Sounds like you are just trying to get some initial experience….
If you can grow a tomato plant ….. you can grow cannabis.

I have a 2x2.5 that has averaged 5ish so far, with around 150w. Biggest just under 8oz, smallest more like 2
Humidity gets difficult in there when it gets thick

That’s dope man. I’m looking into the 300r and the 350r. 300 does 3x3 no problem and the 350 can do a 3x5 and I don’t plan on the additional footage.. yet but they (hlg) also sells the refurbished ones and they’re pretty good price with a yr warranty. Not sure lol Get a 350 and dial it down for now in hopes of a bigger space some time?

I know, I'm just trying to filter real/serious guesses from spammers like the guy after you saying a pound...

I'm asking for an average/realistic yield you guys experienced with this specific/very similar setup. Not discussing my experience, nor having guesses according to my experience. But thanks anyway.

Interesting inputs on this one. I do not have a light yet, do you recommend any around 150W? (In good price/quality ratio like SF1000/TS1000)
The sf is a good light & so is the ts 1000 which I believe might be a bit cheaper I just started a grow with the mars hydro sp 3000 in a 2x4 tent so far so good it's my 4th led & the first with samsung diodes it gives me 37.4 watts per sq ft. most led people suggest 30 watts per sq. ft. You'll probably good with 25 watt per sq ft I dont see any problems 30-35 just my personal preference

I recently pulled 8oz in a 2x2 with a viparspectra xs1500 (150 watt)

With the right strain and correct environment, should get 5-7oz.

I am consistently getting about 16oz with 2 plants, jacks 3-2-1 in coco, DTW, auto water, scrog, and 220w of bridgelux gen 2 (3000k & 3500k). I have achieved that growing bangi haze, malawi, and Zamedelica x old timer haze. My area is 2.5ftx4ft. About 1.9ish gpw.

As stated above, minimum could be 0 if you mess up.

Happy growing.
