I have a girl that looks good....I think! but I have noticed over the last 5 days that the new growth and older leaves are looking a bit lighter in the Green color. I have lollipoped her and also Fimed.

I am 3 weeks into 18/6 also running the TECHNAFLORA nute line. In the 3 weeks this girl has had more PH'ed water feeds than nutes. As far as the nutes in the past 3 weeks she has had 2, 1/4 strength feedings and 1 full strength.

PH - 6.3 - 6.8
400 MH - 3 ft away

What do you think?

What PPM? What medium?

The new growths are almost always a lighter shade and they darken up. But if they dont then usually it means theyre hungry, but not always. I had the same issue and i wasn't able to figure it out. New growths were a lighter shade and they just stayed that way and everything was starting to get lighter. I fed more, no difference. I might have had nute lockout. I flushed a bunch and still it didnt stop. I was chasing a problem with the wrong solutions and i still dont know what the problem was. They kept gradually getting lighter and lighter until eventually they all started yellowing. It sucked.

Here's what mine looked like, very similar to yours:

I use to hold my PH at a simular acidic rate as you are (6.3/6.8) until someone told me that my plants were not absorbing enough of the nutriants available to them. I asked what I should do, and was told to lower my PH between 5.5 and 6.0 and see what happens. My plants went crazy into darker leaves, bushy, and stronger stems. For me it was just a measly lower PH.
Good luck

My medium is Canna Tera Plus soil. I've read that soil PH should run in the 6.3 - 6.8 range. Is this an accurate analogy?

You read so many forums trying to do the right thing and you dont know if what ypur doing wrong or right.

Well... 2 full days have passed and my girlfriend is looking just fine. Her leaves are all filling in with a beautiful shade of GREEN. After feeding her a 100% strength Veg nutes 48hrs ago she is looking just fabulous. Thank you to all who chimed in with the great feedback!

I don't know what you were feeding in that picture but, you had micro defs.....S and Fe starting in for sure.

Use a kelp extract for B vit's, Amino's and a healthy dose of micro's - natural Fulvic's too.

You have holes in the bottom of that trash can? You better.

A 400w ? You should be doing a 600 MINIMUM.

Kinda overkill for what you can grow in that size "pot" in that little of an area, eh?

Soil Ph? How are you metering it? The real deal accurate way is with an expensive handheld meter with a specialized soil probe.
The pH of soil for cannabis? Golden is 6.5.
Soil self pH's with a symbiotic relationship with the soil to the range the plant likes.....Improperly ammended soil can shift out to improper ranges and problems like "salty" or over use of nutrients can block other nutrient uptake by changing the soils resting pH.

Feeding properly and delivering the watering/feeding at a safe pH range will ensure no pH troubles. Your growing with synthetics so simply adjusting the in-going solutions to 6.5 in veg and 6.7 in bloom - should keep you safe.. Remember to NOT over feed.

Dr. can you be more specific with micros fulvic amino's. I do have the kelp extract.
All you really need is to deliver the proper amounts of nutrients.
There are Macro nutrients and micro nutrients......Kelp is a fine source of micro nutrients.

Amino acids are things that the plant produces and they control or regulate many aspects of plant growth and growth regulation.
Delivery of some of the these amino's can, (or are thought to) help. I do see height regulation being affected by it's use in some strains...that's an example.

Fulvic and Humic acids. These help with uptake of available nutrients.....More expressive in organic growing. Still does work in synthetics.

These are short answers......I suggest you take some time to google them - There is much to learn.....leraning to apply that to cannabis is the real trick.

Yes holes are at bottom.
I am going from 400w to 600w
Just starting in that area moving to new location soon.
Soil PH is being checkec with CWP probe and also the run off with pen. 6.3 - 6.8 consistently for the past 3 weeks.
Definitely not overfeeding!

New guy here too. I saw the first thread title and thought "wow ... someone else has leaves turning light" ... but dude, your plant looks sweet man.
I'm in a 2X4X6 Gorilla tent. Using 250W CFL plus T5 side lighting. Def not enough. (But I just ordered a Timber 300W Vero29 V7 a half hour ago. Got the RIU discount too)
The plant I'm growing is Shave Ice. Sativa dominant.
Almost from about a week after I transplanted it, the growth has had light green edges. 30 days in tent.
The Grapestomper next to it is under the same light, same nutes. It's leaves are bueno.
Is this an obvious thing?

Soil.
Iguana Juice 2X week.
Cal mag every watering.
PH at tap: 7.6 dry. 5.9 w/ nutes. I don't have that dialed in yet, but the runoff was 6.0 using a Blue Lab pen.
7 gal smart pots raised on wire shelf.
Other plant not suffering at all through same routine.

Yes I am new and this is my first grow. But looking at your photos there seems to be a definite deficiency going on.

One thing I have read from professionals in this game is not to rush and less is more. Control your PH and dont over feed.

Success in a few months.

I started from seed, I purchased 4 different strains 2 years ago and never went forward with my plan. I opened my drawer and saw them sitting there and said now is the time. I took out 2 seeds of Tangerine Dream both germinated but only 1 made it. And here I am. I have a brand new 5×9 GGT another week from now she is going in and will veg for a few more week then the magic will begin. I topped and LST this girl and will be doing some more.
