Agreed, and Cali Connection has less than a sparkling reputation when it comes to customer service and genetic stability.
That depends of the effects that you're looking for, and from the looks of the two you had chosen above,
I would say that you had a mostly indica strain in mind.
I would suggest Anesthesia, Kosher Kush, Blowfish, or Lavender (depending on your tastes).

yeah, if i was you i would wait and see if you can snag some of bodhi's larry lotus if it gets relisted on seedbay. there's plenty of other good reg og kush crosses out there, unless you really need fems, and if you do, there's still a bunch of others available. to be honest, i have not been particularly impressed with cc.

Yeah i know...heard a lot on the herms and customer service...But also heard many finding some true dank into those beans...I was basically searching some strong OG flavors not a generic indica...So i thought that maybe someone who has actually grown one of theese could spend a word without entering into the "swerve is a bitch" drama... How's that kosher however ?

Out of the 2 I would go with the deadhead. I've grown both and both are good crosses for ogs they yeild good,taste good.
I only had 1 female from my deadheads but she tasted nice and chemmy.
The larry tasted like lemon pledge straight.
Have you tried the other crosses if you are looking for the og flavors I would go with the tahoe or maybe the 818 headbands.

The tahoe I would say is the best thing you can get from c.c. the buddha tahoes yeild nicely too. The ttahoe is somethign I would grow time. And time again its just that good to me.

freebies, corleone kush (not impressed at all for a pre-98 bubba cross) and some clones of their sour diesel, which i think there are better diesels around as well. i have the feeling people who buy cc's fems might be more pleased with their results, i only have grown regs.

I been trying their stuff for a while, all regs but I haven't seen any of the complaints people have first hand. I expect them though, their genetics are all ones born of herms. OG, chem, diesel are all relatives and have it in their dna. The fact is that you will hear all the complaints loudest and less of the happy customers. For all the beans they sell (a lot) you really don't hear that many complaints if you figure the vast majority of them bitch and moan all over the place if something goes wrong but mostly they don't like swerve saying no to free beans for all (or how he says it), so that's what you see mostly. It is in fact nature not manufacturing so it's kind of laughable that people get miffed so easily. Try buying a pack of tomato seeds and check out those results, I realize there is price disparity but that really isn't an affecting variable.
It's all perspective, the same issues could get you irrespective of which breeder you choose from or how much you pay.

with seed it's a crap shoot. i popped a dozen larry fems and got four keepers with one being everything i could ask for and better. very fast, very dank, very sticky and the stink....more fuely funk than anything, not very lemon at all. not one seed or hermie issues ever with the dozen i popped.

Ive done the Larry and the Chem Valley Kush from CC. They were both decent but I liked the CVK better. If youre looking for some potent kushes Rare Dankness is really bringin it right now too,some of the best strains Ive grown in a while.
in a while? this particular larry og pheno i have has it all and (i know this sounds like total horse shit!) is almost too potent (yeah, i know) but if i take two or more bong rips, that's too much. what's even funnier, nobody that's ever had (this pheno) says anything other than what the fuck was that! i just laugh and say "that's larry!" lol.
I've smoked the Julius ceasar and chem 4og grew by a good buddy and they were both phenomenal. I was VERY happy with both, they were both potent as fuck and tasted great. I have original sour diesel and chem 91 on deck that are getting cracked next. People say bad things bout CC but I've seen just as many good reports. And like the one person said, chem, og, and diesel were all born from herms. If a nanner pops up bc of some stress u can't always blame the breeder, the genetics are touchy but there's a reason people continue to grow them, there worth the risk to me at least
