Supporting the plants early on tells the plant that it no longer needs to keep thickening the stem. This puts more effort into bud development.
hey Skunk...that's interesting....I will have to keep that in mind...i never really thought about that...though I do recall seeing lots of people with their plants "tied" up to support them....i just never thought about it...thanks for bringing that forward! cheers! :blsmoke:

surely...that makes sense....interesting....just not something I would have tohught of....I will have to make sure I keep an eye on this....so the second week of flower....for me that's next week...and what....just ;like bamboo sticks? and something to keep the stem aligned?

Did you also have a chance to look at the question re: lst/cloning in my thread....sorry....don't mean to hijack this thread.....

I use string around the plant and tie up over a nail...

This is interesting token... so you veg'ed these plants for the same amount of time and yielded 4 times as much from the larger container?

Yeah, 10g's from a 6 week veg', is a very poor turn-out. I just pulled 14g's dry from a background plant (in a 400ml container), and harvested 10 days early. My other plants will net me 1.5oz per plant.

I usually grow 4 plants in the same space, and achieve around the same yield per plant, same sized plant in 3 litre pots.

Now I have 5, in 500ml pots, and one in a 400ml. I will take half the plants on saturday, the other half on sunday. They're just getting fatter and fatter.

I also will not grow in a bigger pot than 500ml indoors ever again... maybe for a mom plant i would relent and go up to 2litres, but I only keep a mom plant for around 10weeks max anyway.
