Large scale seeding

Ok guys. First post.

I’m a hemp farmer in North Carolina, and we just got rocked with a hurricane and a lot of people’s industrial hemp got ruined.

I just started looking into high cbd auto’s because I think it could be a good remedy for North Carolina. Would be nice to skip hurricane season.

So I have about 6 months to get seeds and get some ready for next year.

The problem is these are 10 dollars a seed and I can’t afford to pay that. The most I could afford would probably be 1000

I have found a couple strains that interest me. They all test very low in thc

However all of these are feminised.

My goal is to Breed these seeds to get as many as possible before planting season next year, while keeping the low thc stability of these strains.

I will be using a greenhouse for the first initial batch. after harvesting these plants and cleaning and drying the seed I will be ready to do a much larger seed project outdoors for next year’s grow season.

So I will have 2 rounds to take 1000 seeds and turn them into millions of similar seeds that mimic the parents and don’t have high thc phenotypes.

From what I’ve read, to do a feminized project the easiest way is to use colloidal silver.

I have access to a lab where I can test some plants. And the resources to do this project correctly.

I would like to talk to some people with experience with something like this. I’m a bit out of my depth here. And could use all the help I could get.

How would you guys approach a project like this while doing it effectively but still obviously trying to do this as cheap as possible.

The end product of this will be going to biomass for large scale cbd extraction.
Which means that if these plants get an increased herm rate over the generations, it’s not the biggest deal to me.

I just want to know how to get as many seeds as possible, trying to keep the genetics as stable as possible. And how to dry and store these seeds for the following year and have a extremely high germ rate. I need these seeds to be high quality and consistent.

Looking forward to hearing your responses guys!

Thanks

I have no experience with this, I’m also interested in breeding feminized autos.. have you contacted any breeders? Buying in that much bulk you must be able to get a deal somewhere I would think?

Yeah I found some in Europe. Nothing special though. The seeds are still expensive. Got them down to about 7 bucks a seed . Hopefully it will be worth it and the seeds will be top quality.
