You know what? I use HPS.. there. My HPS penetrates now.

I don't care if you're a fan of it. Good for you. HPS light doesn't penetrate better than "LED" light. That doesn't even make sense. Light is light. More light penetrates better. My lamp, which happens to use LEDS, generates more light power per dissipated watt, thus 400W of my lamp will penetrate better than 400W of HPS. Penetration is bullshit to begin with.

A lot of "400" watt leds dont do what a 400 watt hps does. Maybe yours does but if you bought a bunch of 400 watt leds they would all have different results wouldnt you? And why is penetration bullshit. Do you like having lime premature buds from no light? No light equals pale buds. Those are ugly and fluffy usually.

Assuming equal efficiency, 1x 1000W lamp will not light lower buds better than 2x 500W lamps. It's simply not true.

Thats saying that your assuming equal efficiency. Don't most leds pull less actual watts than the manufacturer states? Ive seen a lot of that.

As if I lied to myself about the operating point my diodes were running at. Please look at the datasheet for any of these cobs and find a chart called the characteristic curve. That's all I have to say....

I told myself it was 240W... it was actually 50W.........

a 1000w is roughly 30% efficient. Led is about 40% - 50% efficient. If hps was a 100% efficient they wouldn't produce any heat
