If its grey and powdery you're fucked the only thing to do is make butter... but if it's white it's not as bad. WPM sucks, but Botrytis is poisonous. And if the mold you see is gray, then it is botrytis. My saying is, "if it's gray, throw it away".

It's white and fuzzy, not grey and powdery at all. I dismissed all my homegrown besides 1 1/2 mason jars of mold-free kush. I love seeing my jars packed with dark green sensimillia, but with all the blunts to the head I smoke, it might last till saturday. 4 months of growing = 1 week of free dank. Disappointed, but I'm about to order some lowryders for some quick satisfaction

I know this sounds a bit crazy, but maybe try a strain with less large dense flowers. This would greatly lesson the plants propensity for the development of mold. While I realize this would also affect overall yeild, some really good weed, is better than a lot of shitty, moldy weed! Just a suggestion...

i believe i remember a man named serapis saying something about water curing killing the mold idk. personally i have no experience with it but i can tell you what iv heard

I like that idea. I've been looking at the Strawberry Cough and it's a branchy sativa so that will be my next grow. Any outdoor indica strains that you suggest?

check out Hollands Hope-Dutch Passion,I like durban poison but the one I'd like to try is a strain called "Sea Level" from Mighty Mite Seed co. http://kindseed.com/proddetail.asp?prod=mm%2Dseal Durban poison would probably do best in your climate. It was created in Cali. to be grown in Africa. in the seventies, it likes high heat and humidity, super stoney and a spicey leathery flavor. Kinda reminds me of PATCHOULI oil

I've also had moldy bud... no problems but I wouldn't advice it either.. when your bud is bad it tastes like ammoniac (pee like) better thing to do is to vape it or cook with it

You could always just get rid of it and with the money get some equal quality or better bud.

Also I think that the heat from being burnt and the fact that it is being burnt would kill anything harmful

If you smoke say a blunt for example, you will draw smoke through unburned herb and you will suck spores in to your lungs , the perfect host environment for mold.

I cant imagine ever smoking a bud that didn't have any mold on it,it's all over right? I really didn’t know about it till I found some white stuff on the out side of one of my root pots, if I remember right I had a few clones with p/m on them, It came on because I didn't run fans properly and I thought I could use this great organic spray the nice guy recommended at the hydro shop, but guess what I think I should have just used a more powerful p/m killer seeing how I was early in the grow..... I have also been told p/m will always be present and is something you manage. the big question for me is will beneficial bacteria added to the mix at the start help combat p/m coco and root pot grow?
oh yea back to the smoking thing..... I would like to think I smoked 30 different batches in the last year and a few had to of had some p/m on it “Right?” and remember I’m just learning about p/m.

oh yea, I remove 5 to 6 fan leafs from 4 plants weekly because they have p/m on them no pic but try to imagine a 1/4 in x 1/8’’ strip of bumpy spore things does this sound right?

if ur in flower, u can use serenade to help control it... just put it on the leaves with a paintbrush, tedious. It doesnt get rid of it, just prevents it from getting worse in my experience.

I didn't keep any moldy bud as I said before...Even if it was perfectly safe, I just wouldn't be able to make myself smoke something less than high quality medical grade cannabis. I've heard about Durban Poison and it sounds wonderful. The fact that it was created in Cali for African growers was the deciding factor though haha I love a good and hardy indica at the end of the day. Being that I ONLY toked on the mold-free Vanilla Kush, I recommend it for indica lovers. Wake & bake with this bud and you'll go right back to bed in no time.

You'd probably be surprised at the things you're exposed to during an average day. Arsenic is everywhere, but if you offered me a glass of it I would take a pass. Your lungs are moist, warm and sticky. When you inhale spores, they don't go anywhere & they certainly aren't exhaled. They stick to your lungs. Your body can fend off the average amount of spores you are exposed to on a daily basis, but smoking it causes an accumulation that compromises your immunity.

I never wore a seat belt, until I was in a wreck. Now I always wear it. I think it's the same with moldy weed. I can guarentee you, if you ever get sick from smoking mold, you will never do it again. The 2 or 3 hours of being stoned is not worth the 2 to 3 months of hacking, coughing, wheezing, and sleepless nights.

Yes, beneficial bacteria helps fend off mold in soil/roots.
