King's Operation Midnight Landing

Running low in nutrients, I found myself at a local grow shop asking about Advanced Nutrients' Jungle Juice 3-part series. The dude working there was drinking a Sierra Nevada and his colleagues in the back were smoking stogies and also drinking the lager. I knew right away that these were good people. He convinced me that Jungle Juice was extremely comparable to General Hydroponics' 3-part series. The price was right - a quick glance at the contents and I was sold.
So we'll see how it turns out...there should be very little difference since AN basically copied the GH recipe.

Furthermore, I felt it was time to upgrade my vaporizer from an old school vapor-bros box vape (the one that looks like a pencil sharpener) and found a dude selling the Arizer Extreme Q on craigslist...thank GOD for craigslist. That shit is awesome.
I'm stoked on the vape. It works great - and hitting from bags rather than from the whip satisfies me greatly. If you're looking for something like a volcano, but would rather NOT pay $500, then I'd recommend the Arizer....and I'd also recommend trying to find what you want off craigslist (if you're into saving money).

I might also have a couple plants hidden outside somewhere...so here are a few quick shots of the little guerrillas

Until next time

More quick pics from two days ago...just some shots with the additional LED light; as well as a few of the mothers and clones.

The temp jumped from 79 degrees to 83 while I was working in there putting up the new light

New growth is looking beautiful - these girls are growing nicely.

Keep it real

How to you support those plants as they age? I feel like they'd all by laying sideways near harvest under the weight of the buds.

Great question Homebrew. If I'd taken a picture earlier then I'd be able to show you, but unfortunately I didn't. Just today I made a frame out of pvc and put netting across it. You'll see it next time I take pics.

Now, because one side of the tray has significantly shorter plants than the other, I'm not sure entirely that the smaller plants will even reach the trellis before I flip them...or I might have to wait until they do reach it, and in the mean time LST and top the taller plants.

Here are the nutrients that I'll be using this round...with the exception of the occasional Botanicare Sweet (not pictured).

Advanced Nutrients' Jungle Juice 3-part Series

Botanicare Silica Blast and Floralicious Plus

I DO plan on getting Dyna-Gro's Pro-TeKt to replace the Silica Blast, mainly because Dyna-gro is MUCH more potent (compare Silica Blast at 2% silicon and 0.5% potassium to Pro-Tekt at 7.8% silicon and 3.7% potassium) AND it's recommended by Homebrewer....and you can't argue with the pro's.

I'm currently in the process of adding another 3 feet to each of my 6 inch pvc pipe 'toughs'. They are the same that I used in the previous grow, except I was able to get my hands on a few more that allow me to expand each 5 foot trough into an 8 footer. That way I'm using all the space I can in my 8 x 4 flood tray.

Note the trellis I've added - and because I'm putting in more toughs (and therefore, will be adding more plants to the room) I haven't totally completed the netting yet. FURTHERMORE, I don't think I've actually identified which plants are which yet; that said, the shorter ones on the left side are my Very Intense Purple's which are pure indica's (and grow accordingly with essentially one main stock - unless topped). The taller, branchier ones are the Purple Diesel's, which are certainly much more Sativa-like in growth, though still remaining on the short side.

ALSO,
I'll be buying a metal wire shelving unit in which to grow my clones on the top shelves, teens in the middle, and mothers underneath. It should work quite nicely with the space I have to use.

Pics will come as soon as I find a shelf and set it up to my specifications.
