KingBrite 240w 3000K or 3500K for Full cycle?

I've got a 4k kingbright specifically for my clone tent, if it wasn't for the purpose of keeping them compact I'd have a 3k led.
Ime plants positively thrive with 3k.

Outside of my clone tent super compact growth is pretty much useless to me.
Ty it was not to late to switch my order so i paid 50$ more for the V4 with Cree

I'm not familiar with it bud but it sounds great, I've got 1 cree in a headlamp, it can light up around 200 yards in front of me from 3x AAA batteries.
It's fk astounding technology it really is.

Do you have a link so I can have a look?

I'm not a cash grower and I've been thinking about just growing during spring and summer and wind down for the winter, it's almost twice the cost and 3 times the stress trying to keep temperature and humidity within acceptable range without having to remortgage!

you can probably save 30$+ if you dont take the extra UV /IR switch thing ive read mixed reviews about the utility of the added UV over more full spectrum diodes
I'd also go for the bells and whistles.
It might be worth mentioning that you can buy a extension lead to to take the driver out of the tent iirc it's 7/8 dollars but 25 to ship it.
If it's not to late to add to the order it's worth the money if there's a chance you'll need it.

Hps gives out a lot of infra red radiant heat, enough to practicly never have to worry about low temps during lights on. LED don't have this IR, so in order to get the transpiration up, and to support full light intensity metabolism you need slightly higher temps, + 80F for full flower.
I know cooler is generally better for electronics but-

Do the meanwell drivers need to be a certain temp to function at peak efficiency properly? The heatsink is fine, air cooling by fan drops it from a high of only 140 to 105- is it even worth cooling it?

Not sure, check the datasheet for temp info but my take: free hanging and not touching the heatsink seems the best.

I have 4 of the Kingbrite 240W V4 boards in my 5X5 tent and I've had no issues with heat. I also live in Canada (Eastern Ontario). It gets really hot here in summer, but the central air conditioning keeps the ambient house temperature comfortable anyway - plants or no plants. They're pretty bright, and the dimmer is like a dangerous weapon! Everytime I adjust those 4 dimmer knobs I run to check my watt meter. Right now in mid-veg I have them dimmed just under 60% brightness for my 4 plants - pulling a total of 550W from the wall and the drivers are pretty cool to the touch. Fully cranked, they pull just a bit under 1,000W and are much warmer. I learned not to crank it up all the way because my plants thought it was way too much of a good thing during my last flower run. lol

TY for the info ill probably run only 2 plants under the board at 80% power max just for safety. I was kinda worried at first with buying from kingbrite for safety concern but Ive searched all over internet and never found any stories about meijui or kingbrite boards catching fire.

What do the 660s do to the k, 3500 and 660s = something like 3000, or am I thinking about this wrong?
