Kevin Joffrey on autos

Was listening to cannabis expert Kevin Jodrey who is a world renowned phenotypical searcher and breeder in humboldt county California. He said the future is bright for autos as breeders continue to fine time them and potency should continue to rise. I have not tried them yet. Have they reached the duration of the high and potency level of feminized and regs? I am intrigued by the possibilities of their application. Any information about strains or your personal experiences is greatly appreciated.

Autos can have up to(tested) 27% thc and normal average of 21-23% in good genes. Yeilds well over 4oz if dialed in nute/light wise and even can be topped/lst. They are not all 12" couple of gram lowriders anymore. Mephisto, Dinafem and Sweet Seeds seem to be top of the line autos. Dutch Passion too. Mephisto Og Ripleys for instance can get 300 grams per plant. Thats over 12 oz. Hubbabubbasmellascope(WWxBubble gum) is up to 210 grams a plant. Another 10 oz in top conditions.

They have definitely been bred to produce and have very high potency. The northern lights autos I grew were very northern light (ish?) and strong and got us stoned for hours. Yielded 2/3 as well as a similar sized photo plant too.

However. The more I grow more elite types of plants like diesel and Thai hybrids or good old school strains from seeds made with original pollen like shanti black Widow the high from autos and fast flowering photo plants today is feeling very flat to me. Sometimes blastingly strong but no psychedelic effects like mild trails and giggling and up enhanced sensory feelings.

Autos have higher cbd and may be a path to more medical uses but to get high.......

i was always totally against the idea of autos. But I decided to give one a go and the pot i produced was on par potency, yeild and bag appeal to any photo i had grown before, i am currently doing another one and its growing, flowering like clockwork, very strong, hardy, attractive ,smelly plant .

My auto is pretty dam potent, just as much trichome coverage/density as anything else with lots of terps, you may get the occasional pheno that’s not the best but that can happen with anything

I enjoyed my first auto experiences. I jumped on the ban wagon recently and started cross breeding my favorite autos. Seemed like easy work no one wanted to do. Of course I wasn't the only person to notice this and there are lots of new auto breeders.
