Kavemans first grow

I've been reading the forum for quite some time but haven't had much reason to post until now. I just picked up a beautiful og kush plant already 9 inches tall that has been growing outside and is from a feminized seed.

Tomorrow will be the day to head to the hardware store and get supplies to make my set up and I'm looking for some advice/ideas. My grow area is the corner of a closet about 22" x 18".

Basically just looking for some advice on what to buy so i don't waste money on something i'm not gonna use. I'm thinking of starting off with 2-3 cfls and adding as it grows, considering is already 9 inches already I'm thinking only a week or 2 of veg and then throw it into flower(oh please let it be a female!!) so not really sure spectrum to go with. Is 2 enough to start out with of should i get a couple more? Also not sure about how many watts to go with.

she looks good. i would start with the highest watt cfl you can afford. don't forget the spliters, and white paint for the walls. a fan to blow on her won't hurt either. i'm not sure what type of cfl you use to flower so do some looking around.

4-6 42 w cfls should do it right now....and figure out a way to get a couple of them to be on the side of the plant....she looks good, happy growin

thanks, sounds good. Maybe I'll do 2 up top and 1 on each side(rectangular-ish grow area) and then in a week after it grows a couple more inches ad another light to each side.

a little update, I made a little grow box out of foam posterboard and have her under 1-42 watt which i know isnt enough but i have 4-26 watts, i just need to go get the fixtures tomorrow. Shes lookin good still, grew a couple inches.

yeah definitely. I realized that after a few hours of having it completely shut. I have a fan in there now and the doors are open a bit and covered with a sheet to contain the light, seems to be working for now. I'll be getting a thermo tomorrow and probably a couple small fan to make some kind of ventilation before I add my other lights.
