Karma's Little LED Tent

haha it keeps looking like it's two lights then! my cupboards 32 by 20" by 69" high so a little bit smaller, but i want some decent bud out of the space more than lots i think, with your seedlings im surprised they might have some heat stress, LED's run a lot cooler than hps cfl's right?
2 of the 180W LED's will really light that cupboard up!
As for the stress on the plants, I still think it's the light's intensity and their young age at the time, and not heat stress.
If it was heat stress, the new growth would have been affected as well.
My temps never get up past 86-88 during the day, and that's before I turn my AC on and cool things down into the low 80's.
Yes, LED's run incredibly cooler than HPS and CFL, they also look incredibly cooler, too.

you're probably right if the new growth doesn't show it.......It just reminded me of signs under HIDs which could have also been from intensity not heat, either way it's an easy fix...........keep it up/enjoy your grow

Here's a close up of the new growth, post topping (GB4)

A quick and sad update.
Remember the 8 Kalichakra's that were moved from the tent to outside?
7 of them were males:cuss:

I was going to do that, but I have better genetics that I'm going to be seeding soon anyways.
To take a tally of my entire grow room right now, I have 19 Ripped Bubba's, 5 Godberry's, and 3 Cheeseberry's.
Out of these I will pick the most promising looking female and mate her with the most promising looking males from all 3 strains by isolating different branches.
So off of one female I'm hoping to get something like RBxRB, RBxGB, and RBxCB, for example.
Hoping to get a homemade cross going that is particularly high in CBD's if I can, and all of those theoretical crosses posses that possibility, without having to purchase more genetics.
Self sufficiency is king in my garden.

Things continue to grow well.
I've topped the 2 younger plants (CB1 and GB5), while the other Godberry's continue to get bushy.

I agree about the canopy, sir.
There are many different methods that people use to achieve it, but for me, topping at the 3rd node and trimming off the 1st node, at the same time, works like a charm.

My outside grow is going, okay, but there have been problems.
My remaining Kalichakra decided to split itself in four during a wind storm earlier this week.
So, thanks to the help of a shit ton of electrical tape, it's back in one piece, and still blooming :)
Everybody else is shuffling along into flowering, some quicker than others.
After having so many plants turn out male, I threw 3 new seeds in some dirt, to try and balance out my loses.
Now I've got 2 KC 36's and a Pot Of Gold going outside as well, even if they only are 12/12 from seed.

It's been quite awhile since I did an update to this grow journal.
Why, you ask?
Only 1 of the 6 plants I grew (5 Godberry & 1 Cheeseberry) turned out female, which was a tall Godberry, thankfully.
I usually have a much better male/female rate, but this summer was incredibly hot.
Which is exactly why I only grow outdoors during the summer time, because indoor growing in that kind of heat, is usually a waste of time.
So I saw no reason to keep this tent going with 1 plant in it, when I could easily add the female Godberry to my much larger flowering tent, and save on my electrical bill.
This is the conclusion of this journal, as I'm just too busy now to keep a journal going, as I finish my last few classes before graduating in December.
I hope everybody had fun and maybe learned something.
Thank you all for your support along the way, it was appreciated :)

Only 1 of those were female as well, the Lemoneese, which I'm harvesting next week.
My next couple of grows are going to be strictly to find some worth while females to keep as mothers.
That way I don't have to go through this shit again next summer, I'll have some sweet homemade clones to work with.
I've got Chesseberry, Chucky's Bride, and NYCD x Killing Fields in the vault.
With Extrema, Anesthesia, and Extrema x Heribei on the way.
That being said, I'm still tempted to grab a pack of Blue Rocket or Chocolate Rain, so I can get the Katzu Kush x Killing Fields freebies.

Hey Karma.....sorry about your bad f/m ratio..........I've been thinking about my led panel and it's past flowering issues, have you ever thought if a specific led spectra has some effect on this??? IDK ..but I'm gonna do a side by side with a full spec "white" light vers my triband monochromatic led panel using reg seeds and see if my hunch holds...........good luck on your grow friend........

Yes, the panel's spectrum can come into play here for sure.
I think it's a mix of high summer heat and lots of red light from my LED panel giving me so many males.
I had the same problem underneath my ProSource LED's as well this summer, and they've always given me a good m/f ratio in the past.
I'm considering picking up a mostly blue LED panel for a new veg tent, and making this one my small, secondary, flowering tent.
Hopefully then I can start getting more females out of my seeds, and get back to pheno hunting, like I should be.
