Wow, They Should re-name this to "the freebie thread"...LOL

we're all growing the same stuff...

I just put my white Domina and Green Posion Seeds in wet paper towels in a sealed ziplock bag on top of my T5 fixture (for heat)... Should Germ in a few days... been looking for threads on these to see how well they do... but haven't seen anything yet... I'll have to keep up with this thread...

Due to some cold weather I haven't wanted to Germinate the seeds yet but I caved today.. couldn't resist any longer...LOL

I still have Sweet Seeds Fast Bud and Speed Devil #2, But those are going to wait till the weather warms up a bit...

Ok so even though i started this thread looks like im out guys, my only white domina is totally fu**ed

Last 7-10 days she's stopped any signs of budding/growth, basically dying away due to pretty bad root rot.

A combination of me over watering (fukin annoyed at myself) my shitty soil mix (all that is available in the shitty place i live) and the fact it is too damn cold for the soil to dry out when lights are off (14c)

There was white fungus/mold on some bottom leaves aswell as top of soil, this is the 1st time root rot has happened to me so i left it quite late

I have taken her out her pot, tried my best to seperate the soil from the roots but wasnt easy ended up cutting half of her roots clean off!

once i raped the roots silly i transplanted her into a new pot with fresh dryish soil and very little water,

I know its my own fault for such a ghetto grow, time to book me a flight to amsterdam now.:-(

Good luck to everyone else growing the freebies and I hope you don't fu** it up like I have, nevermind though i put it down to experience, now I know about root rot/overwatering, I have learned what to do and what not to do for next time.

Next time I shall try growing in a place I can actually get good soil and constant electricity

Vincent Gallo said Green Poison was pure evil. I'm real curious to hear what you think, once you get around to smoking it.

Bummer cheezey, maybe your WD will come back. Live and learn, I reckon.

Just a thought, coco coir dries out faster than soil, maybe you should try that in your cold weather area. Even in Cali I have trouble getting my basement grow warm in the winter, so I switch over to coco. More watering, but I think better results and no issues with rot yet :wall: <=- Wood

well that sucks... We'll try to keep you informed on how they do...

My White domina and Green poison are doing nice, sprouted out without any problems, the shell on the white domina was still attached after it popped up above the rockwool, so I plucked it off, I think I tore a tiny smidget off one of the leaves doing it (maybe 25% off one), but it looks ok... both appear to be doing good, Hopefully I can get a camera around to take some pics...

Hey Fatality, since you said the Green Poison Streaches alot, do you think it's like my SuperLemonhaze? it streaches like crazy, but I top the heck out of it and it ends up very nice... If I didn't top the SLH, it would go straight up in a single column and get too big to flower after only 2-3 weeks... but topping it alot makes it a really bushy and high yield plant (plus good smell/taste/high potentcy) I'll prob treat the Green Poison the same way and chop the heck out of it...

Out of some other wordly mirracle my root rotted plant has finally started to bud. I didnt know roots grow back after u chop half of them off. In its new pot roots r already poppin out the bottom so new roots have already grown. No signs of hermie yet, she goin slow but what a recovery. Any bud of her will be a pluz given how brutally the roots were severed.

Great news!

How about that? This should be interesting to see how it progresses and turns out.

yea, I'll try cutting it back like the SLH, since the SLH responds incredibly well with cutting branches off... basically I cut anywhere where it's going to go in a direction I don't want it to go, then it fills in upwards and everywhere else, cut one, and it'll grow three, branchy lil' b#sterd... so it makes a big bush with a million bud sites for Heavy yields...

my big band is doing great considering its past.

Ok so its been like almost 5 weeks since i switched to 12/12 but i'm only counting 2 weeks in flower so far due to the roots being servered. I'm basically counting start of flower from when it recovered from the transplant shock and started to put on flowers.

Right now she is on the verge of covering the stem at the top of the plant with bud, another few days and the top of the stem won't be visable.

I have to say though that she isn't smelling strong at all, even up close its a mellow smell very faint.

I suspect the lack of smell comes from the fact she isn't going to be 100% potent due to the problems i had with her and root rot, at the end of the day the plant looked dead and i brought it back to life so anything i get from her is a bonus.

Even though this grow hasn't turned out to plan for me, it has provided me with invaluable experience and knowledge which i could have never gained untill witnessing it in person.

Basically it is hard to f*ck up a cannabis plant, especially to a point where it will not grow and bud, however it is even harder to grow it 100% perfectly as is with any other art.

both my White domina and Green poison are doing fine... the cold weather slowed the growth on them, hopefully it'll warm up a bit soon...

I'm vegging them directly under a t5ho 4bulb setup on a flood table... so hopefully they'll get plenty of light and start growing...

cool, the cold has slowed much of m veg room, I've fixed the heat, and hopefully it'll grow better... meanwhile, I'm going to move the WD and GP (back and forth) over to my flower room while the light is on (about 6hours a day) so that they can get the benefit of the 1000w bulb I just got installed in there... that should make them take off a bit quicker...lol (I'm now playing catchup...)

The best advice I can give on the SLH, top the heck out of it... it can be a bush with like 20+ main stocks about 3ft tall (2 1/2ft around) with about 6 weeks of veg under my t5's... and pull 3+oz easy under a 1000w... but... If you don't use alot of light it won't grow crud for bud size... I'll give you an example... 1000w bulb at the top can be coke bottle buds, and the bottom of the plant you can still have cellphone size buds... but with only a 400w you'll get cellphone buds 8-10 inches from the light and 15" from the light (even sideways) will only give dime size buds... it's a plant that doesn't do well without alot of light...

despite that light issue... here's a pic from a bud under 400w....
