Just letting plant dry out instead of chopping?

A few years ago, instead of chopping and trimming or just hanging to dry, I tried just letting a plant dry out and slowly die on its own instead. I stopped watering and continued regular 12/12 this way for about a week or so, and noticed that the end product was much fuller/tastier and stickier than hanging to dry.

Has anyone had a similar experience? Maybe it was just from letting it go an extra week, but I wondered if such a thing can make that big of a difference...

Duh. You flushed the plant (stopped photosynthesis) and it was better. Thats reality. Thats why people need to get off these stupid forums because they've only made people shittier growers. The internet is making people stupider. Youre already a better grower than 99% of the people on this website, because of one accident/experiment no one on these stupid forums would ever tell you about, because they are all shit growers who smoke moldy chemicals trash.

I would guess its fuller and stickier since you gave it another week. That can make a big difference. The tasting better part, I would think might be because they dried slower, and the extra week helped with that too. Another thing I just thought of was that they might be putting out more resin due to stress from the lack of water the last week. I'm no expert though.

Well I do not want to smoke moldy chemicals lol,
The reason I wanted to ask the forums was that I have done about 10 grows, with different experiments of letting flower go longer, hydro, soil, etc, and I swear letting it just dry out and die in the medium as if it were still growing was the best result I have had. I agree that it must have been the horrible stress on the plant at the end that caused it to react some way. Maybe it went into emergency mode and secreted more terpenes or something,

We actually cut the plant from its roots stop biological processes, if you dont some may fuck you bud as it dies a little rather than stops in its tracks when cut.

Pretty basic stuff and id rather have a fresh harvest than one that died simply because it is superior and why we and other industries do it :-)

So its the extra time imo. Most people are checking trichs for finish. Not the way to do it. Always gonna be too soon like this. You can see a plant done from a foot away. Don't need a scope. Swollen calyxes, water usage slows to a crawl. These are the true signs of readiness. What ever your trichs are like at this point doesnt matter. This is done. Get a fuller, long-lasting high this way. Taste and smell are much better too. This is what you experienced. Wait for this every time. Its totally worth it! Good experimentation!

Notice what makes the rest of the CELL function????? With out, wtf do ya have. You have simple compounds sitting around jerkin off.
What you said here is exactly what i said worded differently...you are arguing with yourself

You need every component in proportions
and range to produce food from light...optimally(which is all that matters no baby hughey plants)
