hey everyone. i just switched last night to pure r/o water 2 weeks before the harvest of my first hydo grow. sorry...no pics. today i noticed on one of my plants the leaf tips and edges are turning brown and curling. i also noticed that the pH of my water jumped from around 6 to about 7 over night. do the leaves normally do this when removing the nutes or could it be from the pH jump? the leaves have looked very healthy up till now. thanks for any advice.

anyone?...anyone?...looks like the early stages of nute-burn. seems strange to get hit with that after removing nutes from the environment. after looking at grow faq's, it dosen't look like a pH problem.

welcome to the forum. Why did you switch to straight ro water two weeks before harvest? Thats like starving a runner for two weeks before the race. RO should have a lower ph, like around 3. No idea how you could get that kind of jump in one day using ro water. VV

thanks vv. just doing what i was told to do by more experience growers on this forum. should i go back to light nutes?

Flushing like that is a soil holdover and not necessary in hydro. Two or three days is plenty. I wish I knew how to link. Pump the ferts to em'. help them win the race. Read AL B Fucts journal. Bump it up front again VV
