Jordan of the islands

Hey everyone, this is my first post in this thread. I just tried some JOTI Purple Kush that went into jars for curing last week and I was mighty impressed. It's really an amazing kush strain and I've become an instant fan! My grow went well with it; it was pretty resilient to my rookie mistakes.

I've taken a look at their catalog and I'm interested in Blue Hawaiian and Black Cookies, as well as their take on Blueberry and Northern Lights. Deep Purple also caught my eye, it seems like a selected Purple Kush pheno.

I'm a novice grower and have been at it for only a year, but the more I do, the more I read and the more I learn, the more I'm loving the idea buying seeds exclusively from our local, Canadian breeders. There's some pretty amazing talent here. I'm getting the feeling that you could spent a lifetime growing out great strains from just JOTI and PeakSeedsBC! Greenthumb is expensive, but I'm interested in his Blue Dream.

Why would I ever go outside of Canada with gems like this?

JOTI deserves way more love than 8 pages worth ... let's get this conversation going!

I've been going through their website and made a shortlist of strains that grabbed my attention. There's so little info to go on here. For example, Hawaiian Lights has pretty much no info on RIU, while on JOTI's website it says, "Jordan of the Islands suggests this is one of our best cannabis strains," Well if no one's posted a smoke report on one of their favorite creations, I'll order some seeds and get back here with some reviews in a while.

Need to keep honing my gardening skills in the meantime.....

Has anyone tried Hawaiian Lights? What's your favorite Blackberry cross?

You're a persuasive fella, Gio. ;) Okay, I'll go.

I was very happy with the Black Cali Grapes so I'm trying the rest of the JOTI stuff in my vault. BCG is more about yield, smell, bag appeal and taste than any unique high, but it is still really good.

Gods White Bannana Kush has been flipped but not shown sex yet. OG Kush is almost ready to pot up to the final container and a Pure Blueberry is vegging nicely.

Ive grown a bunch out his black line. the black goji dawg and cali grapes were both great yielders they both took a full 10 weeks. I found a few bananas on the black garlic breath. the buds looked great and had good smell and good yield, but a few seeds. the black dosi gelato was some of the best weed iv grown/seen but didnt have the best yeild. and the dosi fire had good size smell and frost. im having a bit of trouble with some of the mothers i took. they seem to have some auto flower genes. as i cant stop them from forming flowers even tho i have them on 24 hours light?
Iv currently got candyland, funkdawg, cookies, brandywine, barnyrubble, meat breath, black cotton all from JOTI at about week one of 12/12.

Just went and grabbed this shot of my BC Grapes cut. This pheno finishes faster than what @Angus Hung grew out. I've been taking it down on day 60 from flip It's the only seed I've grown from the pack so it may well be an outlier.
I just wanted to have a look at the strain, but ended up liking this(plus it clones super easily) and decided to run it a few times.

Grif, your grow looks great as always.

To anyone that can answer this, the cheap side of me has a question about JOTI's freebies that I was hoping you could answer. On the site, it says, "12 Free Seeds With Every Order." Does that mean if I order one pack or seeds, or a hundred packs, I get 12 free seeds regardless?

I'm just wondering how their freebie system works. To be honest, it wouldn't change what I'd order from them, it's more just for me to know what to expect. When I ordered my Purple Kush pack, I thought it was generous that they included a full pack of Blue Cheese x God's Green Crack.

His blueberry rocks!
I just ordered his Northern Lights. PeakSeedsBC's is really good so I'm interested to see how they'd compare.
Maybe I should order a Blueberry, too. I just planted 5 of Peak's; I'm germinating in soil this time without paper towels. If they survive, it would be another cool strain to compare.

That and his blueberry x nl Godzilla edition. Never bought from peak, he has such limited selection but what he does have is probably awesome.

What do you like about that strain?
I'll be trying out a handful of Peak's strains in the next while because I just harvested, but so far I really like his NL and his KB.

Here is a couple JOTI “the Purp” I threw outside last year. September rains where no fun and made for an early chop and a lot of hash and oil.

unfortunately I never took pics at harvest when they where a little further along but it still had at least 2-3 weeks to go. October 20 or so I just couldn't keep up. The rain was causeing unrelenting mould. Got to the point I was chopping off colas every time I checked. Such a bad year for outdoor here last year.

Easy 10-14’ plants. Not big yielders though, even if it did get to finish proper. And no “purp”.

would try again if I had a green house. I did make seeds though at another location so I have about a thousand fucking chances.

*edit: here’s the deets:
Joti states “3-4’ height, early September finish outdoors”... not true.
Germinated March 1 2019
Flowering did not start until AUGUST 12-23!!
Cut down October 20 and they still had 2-3 wks left to go.

Hey, for anyone that's ordered from JOTI numerous times, how long does it usually take to ship out your order once payment has been made?
Thanks in advance.

Otherwise, I noticed on Leafly that the highest-rated strain for sleep issues is Chemo, which is a Canadian west-coast strain that JOTI stocks, while #6 on the list is JOTI's Blue God, so most definitely those will be part of my fall grow. That's based on user reviews of thousands of strains on their website.

You should get them within 2 weeks or less from when Jordan sends you an email saying they are shipped (different from them receiving payment).

I had my first order not show (got lost or seized), 3 months+ later I emailed them to resend and I got them within a week of the shipped email. Good Luck!
