Joining loads of aluminium box

Ok so I did some research and measured my f strips the holes are 3cm back from the edge of the strip. So I’d need 70mm Wide aluminium Ts which cost an absolute fortune.

How would you mount the leds between two T strips in this situation?

local supplier of the aluminium would cost me the equilevant in dollars of 1600 usd

I’d actually consider the mesh panels as I can get them cheap and local supplier has them in perfect size. But I’d need very thin cable ties to fit between individual leds on the strip and I’m concerned the heat from the leds may melt the plastic? Not sure how hot they will get?

Yeah it would be. The reason I want them air mounted is because my entire canopy will be full of leds. And my AC system is above my leds. So I want to have airflow sucking through the leds from the canopy.
I feel if I have a solid sheet over my entire canopy it will cause airflow restrictions

I still say frame by t-channel, drill screw and nuts, and then some angle or similar and get two strips to each angle. or even just glue the ends of the strip to a frame that fits the size of the strip and not the other way. Research a glue that will join plastic and alu. the tying led strips to these wire things is not a winner no matter ho well they suit your size. if your hell bent of having fixtures in meters the three of these around two foot wide fixtures will be good for a two meter wide space, youll have a few inches between them but just as good aswell

Don’t know if I would trust any glue to hold 900 leds and 1800 joins.
Care to explain more about the t and angle thing? Didn’t really understand what your describing there

Ok, get alu T-profiles to construct frame something like a 2m by 0.56m or whatevrr length strip your working with. You can do this with drill, screws and nuts. Youd need some sort of crossbars so theres no give or movement in the frame. Then just glue the ends of strips to the 2m sides, youll have air thru the fixture and you have easy to clean thing instead of something with loads of wires. If your working with 10w per 2 foot strip you should be fine like this, no sinking but maybe best try it out on one strip first. I hope it makes sense. Still waiting to hear back on that thing we discussed.

Oh gotcha I was thinking the strips would be on the bottom of the fixture. So not actually sitting on the TEE.
Easy then I can just the double sided thermal tape. That stuff seems to be extremely strong with my old led strips

3M selfadhesive is great, but i cant find it here anymore. Incidentally here they call it cinta americana, american tape. Last build i assumed i could do it with any selfadhesive tape: big mistake, tried 3 tapes and all of them failed. But with only ends stickied i think id go for glue, or have some wiring solution which gives a little extra support, wires being wrapped up around the profile for support.

Oh crap I can’t do that.

as the f strips have Leds all the way to the edge of the strip so you can’t sit them in the T

The f strip is made of thin aluminium isn’t it? Not plastic? So I’d need Aluminium to aluminium glue ?
I’ve figured it out. Now that I’ve thought of it - I can’t believe I hadn’t thought of it. Instead of 3 x 4m t sections I use 4 x 4m t sections and just place the T section exactly where the hole is on the strip. Then I can join the two strips together with extra pieces of t section
