Hey there RIU, thanx to my good friend "2emeRep" from the Cali Connection forums I've got my hands on a pack of Jedi Kush to test run
(Thanx again bro')!!
So due to space limits here I'm gonna start by cracking just 5 of the seeds to start with, as I have other strains goin here as well atm, as I run a 24/7 flower room & seperate veg closet here with loads of different strains growing & in flower here at a time "SOG style". See it in action over in my main journal thread here >>> https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/396995-connoisseur-only-muti-strain-grow.html, or over on youtube >>> http://www.youtube.com/user/KushMunkie

So here's the plan for my Jedi Kush grow...
This is going to be an Indoor "Passive Hydroponic's Grow" and I will be growing using "pot culture" method and feeding by hand. 15L pots ~ Medium - CANNA Coco pro' + & perlite mix (70/30%).
Main flowering room: Size - 6ft x 4ft x 10+ft full room height, has full intake/extraction fans, carbon filter, airflow fans and fan/temp controls.
*Flowering Room Lighting ~ x3 - 600w HPS (1800w).*
*Veg Closet lighting ~ x2 - 250w CFL (500w)*
Nutrients/Additives I'll be using (on the whole) ~ CANNA ~ Coco A+B, CannaBoost, PK13/14, Rhizotonic, Cannazym, CANNA -Monos ~ Nitrogen, Calcium & Magnesium and Bio link +.

^^ Some good healthy lookin seeds...

^^ It's been 32 hours now since putting these inbetween paper towels and they have all successfully "cracked" so they've now been put into coco to sprout.

^^ 7 Days old now and all 5 are now up & looking good. No nutes yet, just plain tap water ph - 5.9/6.0

^^ small pots, with straight Coco medium used, also inc' a thin layer of hydroton at the bottom to allow better drainage.

^^ Seedling @ Day#7 approx'

^^ 16 Days old approx'

******

^^ Here they are at Day 39 from seed and they are lookin a little heat stressed due to the high summer time temp's here tbh and they've only just this week been introduced to the nutes too (a bit late I know lol) but they'll bounce back real soon
. All have been topped once and are gonna be vegged out for a bit longer yet before finally going into flower.
CANNA Coco A+B, Rhizotonic, CANNA-Mono (Nitrogen) and Bio link +. E.C - 1.2, ph 5.9/6.0

******

^^ They're now at 54 Days old (approx), and they have been in my flower room (unsexed) for just 4 days now so not too much is happening yet. 1 male has been pulled out already today so now I'm down to just 4. And as you can see I've already started training on them now too...

******

^^ 56 Days old approx, and the JK have been in my flower room for 6 days. Also I'm down to just 3 of these now as another male has shown & been thrown, so thats 2!!
The 3 left have now been named "#1", "#2" and "#3" and I've also continued training on the remaining still unsexed JK's now too. #3 I got a 'lil too rough with during supercropping and pulled off the top (D'oh!
) so that has now been cloned
.

Day#1 of Flower!!
Now at 63 days approx' and these have been in my flowering room for the last 14 days. All 3 have been cloned and have now shown out pre-flowers and I'm happy to report that all are strong, green, healthy and most important all female. So thats 3/5 females from this run and I'm very happy about that turn out too.
I'm now starting my "flowering days" count on these from now and even at this stage they are already looking to be winners in the makin imo, I can't wait to see them when they really take off here.
CANNA ~ Coco A+B, Rhizotonic, Cannazym, CANNA - Monos ~ N & Cal', E.C.-1.4, ph-5.9/6.0.

"Not all good news I'm afraid..."
At 66 days approx now and while doing my daily inspections & checks I have discovered early hermie signs in one of my 3 Jedi Kush's!!
"#1" has had early male "balls" appear at the lower nodes on both of the plants main branches, and after recieving no kind of light leak, overfeeding or enviroment stress what so ever either!? So I have now had to bin off the tranny before it did any damage to any of my other plants I have running here atm. As I will not risk any of my others over the sake of one so out it goes, along with all the clones I took from it too.
I always watch for things like this early on in flower, just as a precaution and I'm glad I do too esp' now and I'm just glad I caught it this early tbh. I've also been around my room here again too and checked my whole set up for any kind of fault and everything is running up to A+ standard apart from the 29c indoor summertime temp's but that is easy manageable and it is not that high constantly so I don't think that it's down to me and the 2 left are gonna be watched even more closely now too. Here's a few pic's...

^^ "#1" is a Hermie!!
Here's what Swerve had to say over @ the Cali Connect' forum...
man its funny how when testing was done no one mention herms with the jedi's but f there seems to be a bunch of them wtf.. makes me think they wanted to get it to market to fast ... hence why its still be tested and not really sold...i have a clone and nugs from it... was def dank but tds never mentioned to me how many plants were run and what else they found... funny thing is they are def hermies but not your typical sacks everywhere....type so hmm gonna have to really get more info on this
******

^^ 70 Days
old approx, been in flower officially for 11 days now. "#3" (left) & "#2" (right) are still showing to be all fully female with no more hermie signs at any of the nodes on my remaing 2 JK's. But I remain ever vigilent though and will be keeping a close eye to see how they unfold more in the coming weeks. So far though they're both looking good and are developing much more quickly now too.
CANNA ~ Coco A+B, Rhizotonic, Cannazym, CANNA - Monos ~ N & Cal',
E.C.-1.5, ph-5.9/6.0.

Thats all for now, all the boring bits out in one post
, flowering is coming on fast now...I'll have another update done at the end of this week and I'll get some better quality pic's for my next update too.
Stay Up's!!

Thanx mate, they sure are packing on weight & tric's early and I'm really impressed by them tbh. #3 does have more stretch than #2 but that beast has the bigger and more dense flowers of the two.
And I know how hard choosing what to grow is too mate, lol right now I'm torn between cracking either some "Wreck D" from H3ad Seeds & Strawberry Alien Kush from Dank House atm. I only have space for one of these though as I need my other space for some more "test seeds" I'm currently waiting on. My first lot of testers are also well underway, you can check out my grow log for those here fella >>>https://gagegreen.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=366

killing it with your test run skunk! i cant register, it says 'Sorry but this board is currently unavailable.'
so ill comment here:mrgreen:
? for ya, you supercrop AFTER you have determined the sex? within the first week of flower correct?

about your canopy, you have 3 600s how far do you keep them from the tops of your tallest plants? i would think as close as possible for the sake of all the other shorter ladies, BUT then wouldnt that just create a bunch of shade??

how do you determine which is your keeper before having them complete the flowering cycle and harvesting the bud? what if that high yielding or super frosty plant isnt a quick starter in flower?

:blsmoke::joint::peace:

Thanx mate...Yeah the other board is down for some reason I can't get on either atm!? But I've been in contact with the guys running it and it should get sorted soon. Sorry 'bout the inconvenience lol.
I start my training (SC) once my plants are transplanted and growing and I start this on all the plants unsexed. Males once ID'ed are just binned off and the females I continue training on. I treat them all like girls till they show me otherwise mate.
As for light spacing I have them set out so all my tall plants go to one side of the room and all the shorter ones go together too. The x3 lights are spread around the room evenly and as long as I keep the plants in an order I can get light coverage to them all. It's kinda hard to explain in text lol. This pic kinda shows what I mean though mate.... Here 2 lights are over all the shorter plants and the other one is in the other corner to the right, which is just outta shot here...

Selection in "Keeper" early is something of a sense you just get after growing for a time mate. I spend and have spent a lot of time just watching my plants grow in veg/flower and over the years I've come to notice certain traits, which to me anyways are tell tale signs of the potential to come tbh. Here's a look at my "Daisy" from my GS-OG run in early flower and in full bloom. I saw this girls early potential in the fast growth, large and thick branch structure and overall look and of corse her smell.....

I do clone all the females I get if I have space to keep them all, just to be sure though as like you said some do take a while to show what they're made of.

sub'd. Tired as hell, will read this tomorrow. I have 4 Jedi Kush, about 1 month old right now from seed. I have all sorts of questions for you because out of all my seedlings they are the only unhappy ones. They aren't bad, just a little yellow. Details tomorrow. So far from what I can see everything looks diggity dank!

I've been wanting to try coco for a while now I think I will be using that on my next grow.. Also I think my Jedi is male but I might cross it to a pre 98 clone I have.

Alright, so I see you missed a bit of feeding them during the early stages, and that is where my questions are. My Jedi Kush, I can't tell if they are heavy feeders or light feeders. I just can't make them happy no matter what I feed them, and I'm about to flush them. I've been feeding them BioBizz, so over feeding isn't very likely when they are a month old and only at 380-430 PPM at .7 TDS factor. (EC 0.5 -0.7) and they are pretty darn yellow. now even some of my adults don't mind this feeding, and all my other seedlings besides the Jedi Kush and Chernobyl (TGA Subcool) are happy. They are almost exactly a month old, they are in Sunshine Mix #4 and are in the corner of my veg tent under a 400w MH. They have perfect temps/rh and have great light. The only thing I can think of right now is possibly pH, my pH meter was off by .3 after I cleaned it a few weeks ago and forgot to calibrate it until tonight. But .3 should not be enough to totally fuck my day up when 5.9 is always my goal, sometimes 5.8. At one point I realized the pH swing and started adjusting my formula extra low to compensate, but I am afraid I might have over shot it a few times.

So give me some intimate info on these girls, what do they like? Do you think I will find a good mom with my 4? Or do you think I should grow out another 4 to get a good selection for my mom? I am thinking probably more since I've heard she isn't all that stable on Cali Connections. I've only stumbled on your grow and a few others, as well as some comments on them by Swerve.
