Javadog's Next Adventure

Thanks Jambo.

I have been posting to my thread again recently and will post more shots,
esp of the GSC.

I typically run a new breed for as long as 10 weeks but will check the trichs too.

My GSC has been an easy grow. I crammed it into a 4' tent with a 600W HPS
and it found its spot and did well for the space it had. I had 25 6l baskets in
a 5X5 in there.

Here is a look back at the man-cave right now:
IMG_6160.jpg
The cups, the 6" pots, the baskets, and finished plants in various stages.

That is Red Diesel and SWOGK in those folded-closed paper bags....I like to bag buds for a few
days to slow the drying process. That is Rerserva Privada's Strawberry Banana and
DNA's Golden Berry hanging on the right side. Those smell nice.

Take care,

JD

P.S. I have a Barney's Farm Critical Kush that has amber trichs at 44 Days and
this is a record, but that is also under the LEC which does seem to speed
things up....but wow! Will have to post a shot of that. 0

I used to get them frequentlyon my Dog but they NEVER pollinated once:
You can see the spent male flower directly above a fe-male pre-flower and no seeds anywhere.
Yes. I also got a nanner from a Pup. Zero worries and none from the clones either.

Just reading through and noticed your lifting issue.
I solved this once.
.Take your 1x10 or 2x10 and cut two pieces a little longer than the bottom of your pots.
Now cut notches in both pieces so that they mate together in the middle like a cross.
One goes up the other goes down.
Hope this helps.
BTW
I got to your thread looking if you did a side by side with your 315w cmh and 600w

Also, just love all of the genetics you have going I have lots of room for that now.
Hopefully Ill be in the same boat soon-ish.
Cheers

Yes Haze, I have issues. LOL I am running somewhere around 100 breeds.
I think that my dream would be a clone shop. I could offer the entire DNA line. LOL

Now, most will have to fall away, but I am trying to be judicious. I just finished
two "Peyotes" from Barney that are typical: a beautiful grow, with flavor and yield,
both the Cookies and the Critical, but not enough to get onto the Mother-Ship...I think.

I typically buy a second beans of the fems that I buy. ...and when I find that some of
my packs seem "tired"....well, the germ rates when I grabbed the first beans were not
something to notice...they popped....but when I am going back to re-pop a breed and
it is only a year, maybe two, later, then I would not expect the beans to not pop at all,
well when that happens I am motivated to pop the rest of the beans in the library.

So, I am motivated to go ahead and pop my backup beans for these breeds.

My work area these days:

and what I am doing it for:

That Underdawg OG and Connie in the middle were a tad thin but the 707 Headband and
Golden Berry on the ends are nice and fat.

Take care,

JD

Cannabis seeds should be viable for much longer than a couple years. I had some seeds from an old school outdoor grower that traveled to 3 states and a decade and still had a germ rate of 90%. just kept em sealed up in a pill bottle in the crisper drawer in the fridge. Maybe I misread your comment, if so apologies. For curiosity sake what is the longest you've stored seeds and had good germ rates?

Thanks TC. It is good to hear from you.

The search continues...the awesome "Jew Gold" (sic) crosses from DNA have
not made it yet....odd that, as they are so very close....DJ's Gold. Golden Berry,
and Golden Lemons. I have popped the second bean of each. We will see.

Exodus Kush was nice and strong....will keep that one for a while.

Edward, I agree. I am really just trying to understand why the %s seem so low
for a specific group of packs I have. Not to worry, as I have other beans to work
with.....I just got a Herijuana and a few other crosses from Sannies and also a
small, four breed, buy from Attitude. (I needed another go at LA Chocolat and
wanted to rerun Tangilope and LA Con...and I added Remo Chemo too)

Onward and upward,

JD

Hey there Jad,

I have let my thread go somewhat quiet recently, but it is still my own place to share.

But I have found some interesting things to work with.

I find that crosses involving Kosher/Tangie/SourD/OGK are amazing but I am also
angling for a good skunk and good LA Con / Affie so we will see.

White Walker Kush is a keeper and Exodus Kush as well.

Soooo many others have just not quite made the grade.

In the OKG category, the "Josh D OG" that I have is awesome.

So, take care. I am here if needed. :0)

@Javadog
I have the RP Strawberry Banana is it worth running? How long did she run?
Did I buy into the hype with that one?
Thank, Alta

sup JD. like jad3 stated. i too have some major catching up to do, would hate to ask already answered questions.
i like where you are going in the whole skunk search. i am curous to know what are you looking for within the skunk strain?!
anyhow , i am in need for a good strain review from you lol. let me just do some catching up.

Well I will take the time to share more on the search.

First, for ilove, I found what is currently a keeper from that Reserva Privada breed.
Strawberry Banana was not an obvious win....rather leafy, but it actually does smell
like S-B bubble gum and is strong to boot. It is easily recommended.

Now, on the Skunk Front, I started with Cannaventure, as they have a great catalog
of older skunks. I got Skunk #1, Shiva Skunk, Super Skunk, and Early Skunk.
(plus Durban, Afghan #1, and Cali Indica) We will see what I come up with.
I got a pack of LA Con and LA Affair as I am on an "Affie Kick" as well.

I find that the photo sharing tool on my mac makes it weird to label things....
...my photoing has dropped to zero. I will try to pick that up too. :0)

Take care all!

Let me add that I should expose the keepers found so far....

....but this means that I got lucky....no promises!

White Walker Kush
Exodus Kush
Josh D OG
Boss Hogg
24K
Skull and Bones
Longbottom Leaf

There are a lot more....and some with bump others off the list at some point....

LL is an amazing Lemon too....OG Kush X Jacks Cleaner 2
EK was probably the best of that list.

Take care.

I grew an Exodus Cheese a few grows back, very desirable, really don't have a way to keep mothers, but would have kept her.

Yes, I am nutty about wanting a clone before I flip a plant.

I lose a breed or two every hot-phase of each year, as the heat makes clones melt. :0)

I have promised to figure out shipping clones some day....got to get that down!
