Jack's 3-2-1 question

In the above example of 321 (bottom left) P is too low and Mg is too high. K is also pushing toxic levels. If using plain 321, be watchful for these 3 potential problems in your grow, but you should be fine as those levels aren't severely out of range and should only cause minimal loss of growth performance.
I will be growing with hempy buckets, perlite only medium, was wondering, I know you have to mix them individually then add them in a certain order, also a lot of people add more Nutes additives, but what should the numbers be for optimum results and maximum results

Jack's was added first, then epsom salt, then calcium nitrate last. 3.6g, 2.4, 1.1g/gallon of each. Their recommendations are too high. You'll produce 1100-1200ppm and toast your plants. I'd shoot for a target 850-950 PPM regardless of recommendations from the manufacturer's. I think I reduced the jack's to something like 3.0, calcium nitrate to 1.6, and I left epsom salt at 1.1. It was something to that effect, but it's been so long I can't say it's exact. Just remember the target PPM and you'll be solid. The order is very important or you will precipitate gypsum if I remember correctly.

Thanks I’ll keep that in mind... and you think those three work well? I shouldn’t add anything else?

That's a very cool page you linked to. I love how Jack's puts such a wealth of information on their website about their product. Kinda the complete opposite of cannabis specific marketed nutrients. I'm so close to being done with plastic bottles. Super freaking excited :)

Do you use any kelp, humic acid, or silica? I've heard all 3 are great additions, but I'm no hydro pro so I'm not sure.
I believe greengene uses fulvic with jacks 321? I haven't used either humic or fulvic yet. I've heard mkp in flower though.

I second the floralicious plus just watch the extra n in flower. I've had good success at 3-2-1 grams but you have to be diligent on runoff or they get over fed easily.

I recently switched from using GH for years to mixing salts and briefly touched base with 321, but further research and chatting with another more experienced grower here on RIU, I learned that 321 was lacking in a lot of ways. Through much more extensive research, I learned how to tailor my mixes to isolate different elemental PPM by getting a few more products and using Hydro Buddy to input desired PPM targets and what products I have on hand, and the app would tell me how much of each I'd need. I also briefly used a fluvic/humic/kelp mix, but this gave me grief in a few ways so I stopped using it. Don't get me wrong, my plants responded well to it, but the grief was in maintaining my reservoirs, so that's why I stopped it. I made a nice thread that explains how to use Hydro Buddy and which salts I use, plus desired levels per stages of growth, but I haven't updated that thread in a while so I'll screen shot my most recent feed chart to wet your beak.

Also, I ditched Jack's because of their anti-discrete shipping packaging that screams "Jack's Nutrients". Like WTF??? I now use Peter's Pro 5-11-26 which is just as easy to mix with and has all the same stuff except a lil less Mg and S. If you're in the states, use Custom Hydro, they have everything you need to mix more precise regimens. Here's their link;

The work you've put into this is amazing. I've spent the last 3 days studying your work over at 420 mag.

Jack's is awesome I would stay away from megacrop unless you have a problem mixing 3 things. I also use coco make sure your roots fill out the pots before you start flowering and use full strength 321 every day
What are you talking about? Mega Crop 2 part is a copy of Jacks 321 with added silica and chelated aminos.

This is how I personally run Jack's 321. More like 2.2-1.8-0.8

I always add floralicous plus to my water before feeding. It's a highly concentrated seaweed extract. Just a growth stimulant. Good stuff, but by no means required.

I've been using this stuff lately instead of FouroPlus: https://www.bloom.city/collections/supplements/products/supplement-root

Bloom City’s 100% Organic Super Microbe Root formulation contains Fish, Kelp, Humic Acid, Fulvic Acid, Bacteria, and Myycorhizae.

I agree... but I've learned a lot since then. Take it for what you want. I'm not telling anybody what to do.
Was definitely not referring to your plants by the way. I was referring to the person that makes money by reviewing their products on youtube and similar platforms and spreads misinformation for their own benefits.

Jacks 321 is cool, I'm using it. But I don't think it's geared for Cannabis as much as they say. Like someone else said earlier, it runs hot and is also low on P. That's why people are buying supplements.

There are a ton of great people on this website. And there are a ton of really shitty people on this website. I'm just trying to open people eyes to consumerism and commerce. People are being paid to review things, of course they misrepresent them, to Make Money.
