Jack the Ripper...In depth Report~

Jack the Ripper has been available for almost 3 years now in Seed form.
Oh, I was a little confused. I spent a long, stoned time staring at the pics with "Green Avenger" at the bottom. If I am not mistaken, with a little reading, that's your seed op, TGA? I thought it was the strain. Those pics look as gorgeous as they possibly could be. I think you have made my decision on my next strain, if not also my next soil mix and camera.:blsmoke: Is that under HPS lighting?

The crappy yellow pics are under HPS yes I have a photo studio ( Lights and sheets and backdrop) that I get the bud pics with.

TGA is The Green Avengers and its more of a concept than anything. Anyone who grows my gear or uses my methods is TGA but we also have a breeding group that uses the same name TGA but it stands for Team Green Avengers.

Its sillyness mainly but are army of dankness has grown a nice group of friends.

subcool, are you ever going to do an ultimate collection like seedism does?

i think that would be very cool. especially since i cant decide which of your strain to try...

I am not familiar with seedism but we offer group packs and 5 packs already so people can mix and match.

jesus. i love just staring at these frosted beautys, sub.

i grow organincally but recently tried an experiement with hydro-organic growing. a hybrid of an organic top soil planter, and then letting the roots grow down into a DWC basin for added water uptake. the hybrid plant is heavier then the others but not as frosty. i may get more bud from her but the others look tastier. i'll have to wait for the cut and cure to be sure, but i think i know which one is a better high.

but for now, i believe i have made my mind up to stick with organinc soil and your grows have convinced me that great, homemade soil is all that is necessary to grow top shelf bud!

thanks, sub. i will follow your directions on this one. by the way, what have you found as your optimal lighting system? and have you ever experimented with hydro to compare results?

When used in edibles and prepared tinctures this is powerful medicine.
When smoked it tends to be a bit harsh do to all the resin.
There are medical cuts available all over the west coast and its pretty easy to locate this short beefy female.
I donated a trey to the local med co-op and its circulated in legal circles everywhere!

Hey SubCool,

I recently received 12 clones from my friend that owns one of the local clubs that he said were "Pink Lemonade" and were a SPECIAL strain given to them by a well-known breeder (I will not use your name here, but I guess they know you, and you personally gave the clones to them) and I should take special care of them because they are super rare. After looking through your pictures, I am inclined to believe them that it IS, in fact, Pink Lemonade. I am about 10 days into veg and it sure does look like the strain you created. If so, do you have any tips for this particular strain? I grow in a 2x4 hydrohut hydroponically w/ 2 GenHydro Ecogrowers, 600w light, Vortex 6" exhaust fan, and I am currently using GH base nutes with a few supplements from AN. Any tips you have would be appreciated.

By the way, the people you gave them to took awful care of them (at least the ones I received). Not only was there hardly any growth, the roots had all come out of the 2" rockwool cubes by about a whole inch and were just sitting there in the cloning tray. Plus, what little growth was on them had spider mite eggs that hatched within a couple of days in my garden. Thankfully, I caught the mites VERY early. My buddy told me that out of the 4-5 people he gave clones of that strain, everyone else's did not make it. Mine are now doing VERY WELL and will be vegging for the next 2 weeks (approximate) until I get the tent portion of my Hydrohut back, which was recalled and killed the past two batches of clones I had.

Anyway, just wanted to let you know that someone close by procured your strain, and will hopefully be harvesting some pretty, pink buds in about 2 1/2 months. Maybe next time I can get some good babies straight from the source and not play doctor for two weeks? Hmmmmmm? Yeah, I know that is frowned on at forums, but I am only kidding (halfway)...

The Pink L pheno is readily available from TGA seeds as well.
Its extremly common in a 10 pack of beans.
We distribute this clone to as many medical groups as we can legally so no telling what journey your clones took :)
Oregon Green Free openly distributes my clones to members.

I have grown in every medium but I prefer the taste of organic soil.

JTR is very easy to grow start a thread and let us follow along please.

Answer ya damn phone sometimes :)

Pandy 8-9 weeks
Space Queen 7-8 weeks

You will find both earlier and later maturing females but these strains are pretty consistent and you will be in these windows with all but the rare phenotype.

It seems like you use Space Queen a lot. How long have you had her, and where did she come from? Of all the strains you've worked with, which ones have you crossed the most times?

Jillybean is a beautiful plant and I would love to try growing it. What's the difference between Jillybean and SpaceJill? Which do you prefer?

Subcool,

Is there a space bomb pheno in the jack the ripper line?

When saving both of the twins in a single seed one is very small.

Are the twins always the same sex and if not and they were crossed would the offspring be feminized?

Tiny Bomb is a Space Queen variety and not present in JTR.
The twins are common with JTR some people let em grow and some separate em and no they can both be a different sex as wierd as that is.

Just wanted to let you know the JTR I got from you is now begining to change to the flower phase. The node division is shortening but its still getting taller. It was as wide as it is tall but its starting to get taller now. This is an outdoor grown in CA. Here is a pic but you can see JTR and others in my journal. I also used a modified Supersoil mix too. Thx to you for the soil base :peace:

thanks sub just ordered 10 of these.

you consider this plant one of your best?:weed:

also subcool if you can clarify one thing. if i search around for jack the ripper a lot of your posts say to top this plant and flower early to reduce stretch

but on bizbay under jack the ripper it says the opposite.

i got my seeds from biz

should I top it or not?
