Typically, longer veg means larger plant means larger yield.

But in reality, you should only veg your plant to a size that will be suitable for the light you are using. There is no point in veggina plant for 5 months till it's 6 feet tall, because if you only have a 600w hps, those extra weeks vegged will be wasted as the light is not powerful enough to supply the plant with the lumens something of that size would require. It could be that instead of a suitable size plant with great buds, you have a huge plant with lot of it's energy wasted growing fluff due to insufficient lumens.

Something to consider toker but his plants are pretty small still. It's going to depend on his strain if he's got a stretchy sativa what you mentioned is an issue. For anything with indica influenced growth it's not a concern with a 600w hps. I've grown 4'+ plants under 600w and no airy buds at the bottom. Who said anything about vegging a plant for 5 months? He's been vegging 4 weeks and we're talking about going 2-4 more.

I was making the point in terms of a general point for people to be aware of, not with regard to his plants in particular.

Luckily you can't see into the future to realize how much harvest you missed ;) But hopefully you got another batch ready to go after this one so it's all good either way :) Of course I haven't gotten up to the antsy to go 12/12 stage yet since mine aren't there... I remember that feeling though back during that first one or two grows :)

DONT MAKE ME SWIM IN REGRET NOW :(

someone on my journal said i might run into root problems because my tray might be too small for two plants, you think thats true?.. thats why i flipped them over also. dont have any cash to upgrade anything at this stage.. so if it goes wrong it goes wrong real bad.. real fast... *fingers crossed*

What i have found to get some extra growth in there...is I put the plant in question into flower til it shows sex, and then back to veg for 2 more weeks...just seems to make them take off for real! Then I switch them back to flower and finish.

dude bad move those were babies still....you think the nodes are so tight but as the plant gets bigger they will open up and allow for a little more light penetration at this point you will have very few bud sites...you can still get some good stuff but wont be as much of it as if you would have waited patiently another 2 weeks at least..and if your rootbound now trying to rush them wont help they would have needed a replant at least week before flowering them...if you are sure you need to you can get away with doing it now but i honestly didnt look at the whole vid

heard that can do damage 'hermies'.. my seeds are feminised..

ill see how this grow turns out in size.. then ill use this information and experience in my second grow.. if it turns out smaller than expected.. then i shall veg longer next time around..
i hope to get a pound of good bud out of this 'DRY' once compelted..

what you guys think? am i dreaming?

Im not sure if im root bound.... or if that will be a problem for me.. but to avoid the risk i flowered now.. on my second grow i will get a larger tray .. and veg for another few weeks etc.

Sorry dude they are too small for a lot of yield... 1 - 1.5oz each and that would be a pretty good yield for plants that small -- that might be optimistic. You are also wasting your light. 600w to cover 3 plants they ought to be some really big plants. You could fit in like 3-4x as many plants the size you have now in flower under that light :) Or at least I did with my 600w :) With the size lights you have you should definitely be vegging them longer and getting more branches/bud sites.

Ok im considering taking your advice, but do you think i will run into root problems with the tray?

what about height? i only have about 90cm to work with in height from the current height of the plants now.
