I shape my plants by topping bro,my plants look like little boxwoods,I yield about 4 or 5 onces compared to no topping about 1 or 2 ounces even with a long veg.Your yields will double by topping and vegging a little longer!!!!!

I used to run clones untopped and cramm as many as I could in one little are.You8 get one main cola on alot of strains if they go untopped. No you dont have to top anything!!

topping does raise the yield but it is not necessary, they will still grow whether you top it or not. by not topping it you will have 1 main cola instead of 2.

i tried topping a few of my girls this time and i'm loving it ...

i've got 2 girls of the same strain, 1 topped and 1 not topped. The 1 thats topped has like 4 main colas and a b unch of smaller shoots that shot up real tall right up under the main colas ...

i think from now on i'll be topping some ...

Just be carefull because some strains dont take to topping as well as others ...
they might just take a bit longer to catch up in growth ...
Some may stay stunted a little longer then others ...

I only run SOG so I top every plant I flower. Topped plants usually yield more as well, so of course I have to top to get the nice canopy I want over 64 plants.

To top and stress your plant as lightly as you can. Do this by pulling the leaves apart, in the middle you will feel a little ball at the center of the leaves, squeeze that little ball and your plant is topped,. where they split. no cutting perfect top and very low stress.

I would top any indica but not most Sativa's. Indica will grow like fat bastard's when topped, just cut the top node off when the plant is 4 weeks old or some where around there. Sativa's grow tall and if you top most of them you lose the king bud.
