Is this from a Caterpillar?

I've got an LA that's been outside for about a month now (it's 2months old) and a beautiful bush but one branch has got some fucked up new leaf growth and I know caterpillars love new growth and it appears that something is going wrong with my plant here, well at least on this one branch. I sprayed down with neem yesterday and did a super thorough inspection beforehand with nothing found.

I assume it is from one but I am just double checking, Thanks for your help.

Looks like micro nutrient lockout. Caterpillars bite marks look like someone took a hole punch to your leaves.

possible, but I usually don't overwater anything. I don't think that is the issue, plus why would that only effect on branch and not the rest of the plant? Could it just be a retarded part?

If it was a nutrient lockout wouldn't it be happening to the entire plant not just isolated to one branch? I P.H'd the soil and everything is good, the plant overall is extremely healthy. What micronutrient would cause that?
 
It def doesn't look like caterpillars I had a problem with them last year on my roses and Vindicated said bites look like someone hole punched the leaf. I've had something similar to this problem tho for like 3 days it went on I kept inspecting everything and couldn't find a thing I thought i was kinda loosing my mind. I discovered what the problem was though after a long inspection I found a little green bug thing that was blending right in with plant. It looked almost similar to a caterpillar but I can tell you for sure it wasn't. Today this day im still not sure what kind of bug it was, It was long had about 6-8 legs, Huge beaty eyes and like slick and slimy?. But that might be the problem you have no expert just my 2 cents.
 
definitely not a caterpillar. Just looks like a isolated deformity or it got something on it i.e. a nutrient being poured on it (sounds like that's not the case since you are ph testing the soil). If rest of the plant is healthy then there's not too much to worry about right?
 
lol THat's what I'm thinking, I was about to take a bunch of clones, for shits and giggles I'll try and clone this deformity and see what turns out... could be interesting if it is a deformity.

Thats a great idea, takin some clones you can figure out for sure if its just the plants behavior or if you actually have some kind of bug problem. Hopefully its just the plant acting strange and grows out a normal life. I'll keep an eye on this thread for sure tho curious to see what the problem turns out to be.
 
so I did end up cloneing that one branch which today still is the only branch with this wierd diformity. The clone grew for awhile but all new growth was deformed, It looked like shit, not to mention it was quit weak compared to the other clones, I ended up killing it I guess now the question is I wonder if the cola on the branch is gonna be any different..
