Is this a good setup?

Is this a good set up?
How many days/months should i wait before chucking my plants under?



Does this look ok? I can get better ventilation but these lights create pretty much no heat at all and there seems to be enough air flow.

Any feed back?

Hey Man I work at a grow store and no one has liked the led's at all i tried them they are barley good for veg you would be better off with a rack of 8 t-5's from hydrofarm they woork mush better and put out same heat

im guessing your Australian so if i was you i would just go to bunnings and buy some fluro lights get a few warm white and daylight bulbs till you get the fluros move your LEDs closer

I was going to say just add some cfls and bring the leds close since it has barely no heat to give off...

Since you have bought the LEDs it prob means you need this to be very stealth and cant afford high heats. If so get a couple of fluros or CFLs to supplement the light and crack on. Its the general opinion that the technology behind these LED lights just isnt advanced enough at this time to produce good results. Not to say you wont get bud it just probably wont be as good as if you had used a HID.

If you have some cash and want to spend more money on lights then buy a HPS. Even a 250w HPS would be better than the LEDs in terms of bud you would get at the end. You could even use the LED to veg, which I know some people do anyway.

get that led down to 1 or 2 inches away man. your not even taking advantage of the reason people use leds/cfl or flouro tubes that you can get it right up next to the plant and not burn it. ventilation is key, improve it to the best you can no matter what you decide to do w/lights.

I had them like 3 inch's from the actual plant but moved it on top of a plastic lid just to show the whole set up.
I spent like $70 on The hydro LED's and dont really care about cost at all but im looking into buying some T-5 Fluoresents.

They're much better, yeah?

why not get a 250w or 400w hps and cool tube it if costs dont matter???

If you are serious about getting some dank bud and are not to worried about a little bit of noise. Get a 600w in a cooltube. If you dont know what these things mean go browse the grow FAQ

The only thing with HIDs (High intensity discharge) lights is that they make a lot of heat. So a cooltube is great for them.

Although they make a lot of heat they are the best for growing bud.

Cool tubes seem to be the choice of champions eh/ Right now I use an air-cooled hood, but it seems the cool tubes work better. After following this thread I'm going to research more. Good luck with the LED setup!

Well now Ive got some 400W HPS coming in I might experiment with two rooms. The only shity thing is ive only got 5 plants and are waiting on four to come in. Also being inexperianced at growing I dont know the strain of maijuana nor the chance of sex.
