Is the matrix ( the movie) a reflection of reality?

Anyone know what I'm referring to? Probably not but the more perceptive probably have an idea... Hint... A technology.. shhh ! Be quiet, see eye ayes swarm sketchy words. Or maybe we all say fuck it, let's pop the red pill. Which would you chose?

I'll pick whatever pill that doesn't make me end up in a human bio fuel harvesting farm being turned into liquid to feed other humans to power the machines with bio fuel..

all fiction, movies, books, comics, are a reflection of reality.....they're full of metaphors for situations we have to face in life, feelings of hopelessness overcome, the dream that our insignificance isn't real, that we can make a difference on a vast scale....
if they were about going down to the corner and hanging out, they'd all be jay and silent bob movies

The matrix uses several psychological devices, the collective unconscious, the phenomenon of deja vu. Neo is on a classic Heroes Journey, similar to hercules' labors. even mind over matter. the merovingian is desire, the Twins are fear of the overwhelming, (also possibly fear of authority gone wrong, as they were agents from a previous version of the matrix) the Agents are oppressive authority....to me, Agent Smith represents the epiphany that the "authorities" are not the agents of good, at best they maintain the status quo, and suppress "freedom of expression" where ever they can

Are you saying all myth is based in reality? (because you might want to)
