Is that your ripleys?
I don't like bloom feeds. I would rather have a balanced feed all the way through. Looking good.
With good lighting and proper care those little nodes join together to form larger buds. They need the stored energy that is in the leaves to do this. RIU has tons of good info from people who have been
How long has it been in flower? Mine looked like that about a month ago. So get ready for a super stretch mid flower
She is 43" and in mid-stretch. 2 weeks in 12/12.
Damn top wont stop stretching! Its about to hit the light!
Bend it over.
Won't that only give light to the side that's up? I want a huge top! I moved the lights so it's more to the side of it rather than beaming right down on it. The sugar leaves were canoed up about 8 inches down.
Switch back to 24/0 may help it's stretching during the dark period. Really just guessing
You're probably right..
Well lights are out or i would get pics. I redone the arrangment again. So now lights are at a 30 degree angle on either side of it. I have been rotating mid light cycle because the one is a higher watt. Hopefully it continues to grow evenly. It has really started stacking big time now. I am guessing 3 weeks till she goes dark.
How long is a good dark period? Also does it really help with anything?
Dark period is essential for flowering. A photo period female can stay in perpetual veg until you flip to 12/12. With autos they'll flower under almost any light schedule as their lifespan is time-sensitive. I do mine on 24/0 and I have good results.
As for the extended dark period some more experienced growers do before harvest...I don't really know enough to know enough.
Looking at your pictures I think the light is too far from most of the plant. the light itself also either isn't the right spectrum, or the manufacturers wattage spec isn't what they claim. I see it all the time. Home Depot have a 110V shop vac they claim is 6HP. I build industrial vacuums and know that the highest HP Baldor will do for 110/1/60 is 2HP as it pulls around 18 full load amps and 20 amp circuit is as high as you can go - the shop vac manuf knows its a fib but they print a bogus spec anyway. Lighting manufacturers are the same. I see it every day.
I might be wrong but the structure of your plant has both those issues written all over, defoliating it is also keeping the buds popcorn size instead of matting together to form larger ones. It should still yield some decent smoke though
I haven't done any defoliation on my auto. I was asking about time in dark before cut. The auto will fill out for sure. It already has started. All buds from what i have seen start or small... Not a pro or have very many grows under my belt though. I'm not arguing anymore about stretch. I will post of harvest and then see what i need or don't need.
Im running 18/6 and if i knew stretch would have been so bad 24 would have been nice. But the top of the plant is actually less than 8 inches from light in pic. I will pull a close up when lights come on. All my pics that have been posted are more than 8ft away
here she is with no blurple and up close
Start of my cola
Tie a rope to the top and start pulling it over a few inches a day. All the side branches will become new tops.
You want to break apical dominance and redistribute auxins.
Trust me. It will yield more.
That thing is filling in nice.
The Sour Livers (left) and Dinafem Critical Plus 2.0 are chugging along nicely.
Nice. Are they in the same pot? Or are you dwc
Thanks. Each is in a 5 gallon grow bag with a blend of FF OF and something else (I dont remember) and 1/5 perlite added for drainage.
Go ahead and take some cuts. You can clone a flowering plant.
