Is it safe to move a seed that was planted in soil to another soil? (Hasn't sprouted yet.)

I'm just worried about the soil that it's currently in since it has time release, woodchips, and isnt well known. I have a batch of perlite and fox Forrest farms that I just mixed and I was wondering if and how I could move the seedling over to the new soil I just mixed, or should I let it sprout and plant the old soil where my seedlings roots are into a larger pot with my fox farms mix?
(Really just worried about hurting and damaging the roots.)

Do as you please. I did my fair share of switching after the seed has popped. There is a risk tho. You have to be gentle and fast. But why not wait for the sprout? Your plant wont need any feed anyway for a while.
