This is my first attempt to grow indoors. I have a few plants in seed starters now. My question is, because i'm not home all the time, Is it ok to use a drip system with soil with rocks at the bottom for better drainage? any advice would be great.

Dude if you keep posting the same thing over and over you will soon be on the ignore list and will not get any help. Do not try to set up a drip system using soil. Do not use a drip system because you are going to be gone. Both coco-coir and flock rockwool have better water retention and spread the water around better by capillary action. If you are going to use soil get a moisture meter. You need to read more and ask less. But that doesn't mean I don't like you.....yet. VV

Why would u need a drip system in soil? soil acts like a buffer and can hold water for days up to a week or so..
